Lew's Laser SL Speed Stick Casting Rods - $79.99
Offering a potent blend of performance and value, the Lew's Laser SL Speed Stick Casting Rods feature Lew's APT (Advanced Performance Technology) blanks, which are composed of 45 million modulus graphite, and feature Lew's multi-layer construction. The premium blanks, combined with high-tech Pac Bay Semi Micro Guides furnish excellent sensitivity and optimum rod curvature - allowing the full strength and potential of the blank to be realized. The semi micro guides also help facilitate greater casting distance and accuracy, while a new skeleton reel seat and split grip handle configuration minimize weight even further. Lew's has been making quality, cutting-edge fishing gear since 1949, and the legacy continues with the affordable Lew’s Laser SL Speed Stick Casting Rods.
Comments: I got this rod for Christmas and have it paired with a Lews Speed Spool. I've used it three times and Iove the back bone and the sensitivity of the rod. So far its been real dependable for the price and I look forward to buying another rod from Lews soon.

Comments: this is my 2nd favorite rod besides my 7'3 H falcon (which is amazing) great for spinnerbaits and getting plastics through grass. perfect amount of flex for great sensitivity and not ripping up your baits on cover, but once you hook a fish it has more than enough power to tell them where they are going. had it for a good while and fished the hell out of it; still like the day i took it out of the box

Comments: Worst rod ever made! i hate it overall. its so unbalanced with the action and backbone. Dont buy it! wast ofe money! the reels are amazing. THe rod sucks. worst purchase ever.

Comments: Update to previous post. After only a few months of limited use, the tip broke off and one of the guides lost it's insert. I love the Lew's reels but this rod is not durable and not worth the price. Very disappointed with the guide inserts. None of my other rods have had insert problems like this rod. I hope Lews can fix this problem. I won't be purchasing any more of these rods!

Comments: I purchased the 6'6 MH rod for throwing spinnerbaits. This rod has a soft, flexible tip but has a very good backbone. I caught a nice stiper with this rod, unintentionally, and it performed excellent. The rod is very light and sensitive and throws well. Very good rod for the price!

Comments: Ordered a medium rod. Has medium weight with medium heavy toughness. Throw a shaky head with my baitcaster with better control than a spinning combo!!
From: Angel: Calera, AL
Comments: one of the most insane rods I've ever used extremely light and very very sensitive I now own 6 of them and 6 lews reels wouldn't trade them for any other rod or reel
