Comments: I have this reel on a Fenwick 6'6" MH rod, for my "Go to" set up, I can do anything with this set up, with the exception of frogging. I'm sure this reel could do that too, but I have it set up with 12 lb. mono, and use it for an all purpose set up. It's so light weight, when you first get a hold of it, it feels cheap. I guess we somehow equate weight with quality, to a certain extent. This reel feels so light it feels like it has to be made out of plastic or something. But once you realize, how nicely it's built, and how smooth it retrieves, and how far it casts, it's absolutely AMAZING. You can cast this thing all day long and not have any fatigue from it, it's so light, you almost can't tell it's on the rod. I LOVE this reel.

Comments: not only does this reel kick serious butt, it is lightweight, crazy amazing & it looks sick i bought one of each gear ratio lews has outdone themselves it is so worth the price

From: Kinzer: Brock, TX 5/5/16

Comments: This is a great reel. It's is very lite & sits comfortably in you're hand. It casts light lures a mile & can cast heavy ones a ways too. I have caught hundreds of fishing on this reel & it holds up great. Highly recommend.

Comments: well its safe to say I'm turning into a "Lewser" the Team Lite is my 3rd Lew"s reel and i love them all. this reel is unbelievably light & casts miles like all Lew's do

From: Corey: NC 12/7/15

Comments: Paired this reel with a Dobyns Champion Extreme 704.  The reel is light, capable of ridiculously long casts and so far I am really impressed with the drag.  Great with a very light but powerful rod.  Recommended.

From: Harold: West Point, NY 8/9/15

Comments: Fantastic Reels. super smooth. outcast most anything out there & way nearly nothing. Bought one & now i own 9.

From: Rob: Theresa, WI 6/4/15

Comments: Huge Lew's fan. I own every model over $200. This one disappointed me. Looks great, but the finish scratches easy. Doesn't handle braid well at all. It performs well with lighter (10lb) test mono/flouro/copoloy, and lures up to 1/2oz. Feels cheap in your hand, very 'plasticy'. Had a big striper (15-20lb) take my topwater and it was evident this reel was not equipped. For lighter stuff and bass only waters its a goo reel, just not sure the price point makes sense. The BB1 Pro on the other hand can do it all. Wish they still made the Team Lew's Gold- that reel was head and shoulders above this one.

Comments: I took this reel back out for a spin yesterday evening on a really gusty/windy evening. (weather conditions I normally reserve my dual control reels for) I had previously written that the dual cast control reels may handle adverse conditions better, but I have to say this reel performed flawlessly in the wind for me again. I was casting smaller BeetleSpins and lighter Mepps b/c the fish were somewhat turned-off...but it handled small lures in the wind on 12lbs Stren Mono like a champ. Just for testing purposes, I tied on everything from high-wind-resistance big double spinners to light plastics, crankbaits to Jitterbugs. This reel continues to WOW me with its smooth performance, not to mention when you tie on a crankbait...it sends it into the next county. Plenty of power on the return. Very smooth drag. All of the bigger bass I've caught so far this spring have been on this reel and it continues to be smooth as glass. Casting is very quiet. Will be getting another one of these for my quiver.

Comments: Mounted this to a 6'6" M Tournament SL Speed Stick and a 6'10" Team Lew's HM85 MH. Though the new LFS platform is amazing...this is still my favorite reel in the lineup. It's quiet, classy, smooth, and super easy to set up. The Team Lew's (red) was an incredible reel, the only thing I would have changed about it was drop some weight. The Team Lew's Pro has done exactly that. Same smooth versatile platform that will cast large crankbaits all the way down to little Mepp's #2 spinners "effectively". Effectively being the important word. Any reel can chuck a light bait a few feet...but the dual control brakes allow you to get enough power to get the bait out there, yet slow down the spool at the same rate as the light lure against the wind. Very impressive. These reels out of the box are perfect for me.

Comments: Mounted this up to a Tournament SL Speed Stick 7' MH Fast. It's a really good all around setup. This reel casts baits a mile! I was really happy with my standard Speed Spools and Team Lew's reels, but this thing is on a whole different level for most applications. The adjustable Centrifugal brake on the LITE is infinitely better for these types of baits. The SpeedCast adjustable centrifugal brake is where it's at unless you're casting light baits into the wind or baits with a lot of surface area and wind resistance. Then you want centrifugal on the front side and magnetic on the back side due to the wind slowing down the lure prematurely.

Comments: Handled the reel at the 2015 Classic Expo in Greenville and had to buy. If you are a lew's fan this is another great reel to put into the arsenal. The aesthetics of the reel is appealing--nice silver with gold trim. The weight and ergonomics of this reel is excellent & will keep you fishing without fatigue. This reel is definitely user friendly; accommodating for all skill levels. The external braking system allows for quick on the dime adjustment. CAST superbly! Not a finicky reel to cast well with. Definitely a good buy LEW'S HAS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE HANDS DOWN!!!

Comments: Recieved this reel a couple days ago and paired it with a Dobyns DX 745 for bottom contact jigs. This things casts great and the brake controls are the best so far. Its super light weight too. Outcasts my revo sx by far, but doesn't feel as smooth on retrieve... has a grainy feel to it but hope it goes away after several more uses. Other than that its everything I was expecting it to be.

From: Kayak Angler: Fresno, CA 2/16/15

Comments: This thing casts light cranks really well. It throws them farther than my steez and mgx, both upgraded with ceramic hybrid bearings. I'm impressed with this reel and lews in general. If you bye one you will like it and you will become a lews user (Lewser). When you need high performance at a reasonable price, this lite is hard to beat. I still like my other reels and this won't replace them, but it will be a prominent addition to my other setups. A great addition at that! A bang for your buck reel.

From: Tim: ID 1/12/15

Comments: Have fished with this reel a couple times so far and I really like it. it is super smooth and takes in line faster than any other reel that I own. and it has adjustments like crazy. the price is a little bit high but it is all worth it.

From: Devon: USA 1/10/15

Comments: A comparison might be helpful. I own a steez, mgx and metanium. I'm not a brand homer I'm like a lot of people who just might have to many baitcasters. The team lite stacks up very well against the high end models I have. Remarkable casting distance with small and medium cranks. Very light, an absolute bargain reel! I'm not ditching the others but this thing found a place in my line-up. It's not a steez or metanium, but man for the price you can't go wrong. It out casts my other reels, all with upgraded bearings. If your looking for a great reel, there's a lot of brands and choices available, but I don't think you can get this performance without paying a lot more.

From: Lew: Lewiston, ID 1/6/15

Comments: Wow this reel is amazing. Its light and casts a mile handles large fish with ease. Lews has got a winner in this one!

From: Ben: AL 1/2/15

Comments: Took it out yesterday for the first time. Fished a rattletrap and crankbaits in grass. Every time I brought the grass in with me, The reel really seemed to struggle with the heavier stuff coming in, almost like it couldn't handle it, and was very difficult to crank the handle when grass and other stuff came back with your lure. while my tournament pro does not do this, the tp is also more powerful in my opinion. But I love this reel so far, feels great and casts like a bullet. I was getting really long casts on light crankbaits. Really impressed with the casting distance, haven't been able to get that long of casts from any other reel. Disappears in your hand, and is an absolute pleasure to fish with, besides what I mentioned above. This reel would be great for light stuff, and 'reel-in' baits but not big baits

From: Chris: USA 12/23/14

Comments: Reel is light and smooth. Sits a little lower than the team pro. But does feels kinda cheap and plastically compared to the Lews Team pro

From: Anthony: CA 11/24/14

Comments: Very light and compact. Feels very good in the hand. It casts a mile too! This thing is the ultimate reel, and Lew's is the ultimate reel company.

From: Reece: Fargo, ND 11/23/14

Comments: Super lightweight and comfortable reel. Was really amazed by how smooth and quiet this reel was. It feels really durable considering the weight. I caught a few 3's pulling out of thick thick coverage with ease. I would definitely recommend it to any and everyone!

From: Kong: Fort Smith, AR 11/22/14

Comments: Bought this reel with a 7'6" mh Omen and it is the best set up. it can cast a mile and has the smoothest reeling ever. Add some reel grips and you have the comfiest lightest, best reel ever.

From: Max: Avon, CT 11/10/14

Comments: the reel is super light and cast very well. Took it out today and caught a 3lb wit ease great reel overall.

From: Leng: CA 10/24/14

Comments: The reels are lite and sit low on the rod. Very comfortable to palm, the cast control is great, and the drag is super effective! Overall awesome reels!!!

From: Tyler: Waco, TX 10/16/14

Comments: Great feeling reel!!! Very smooth and super lightweight. You can hardly tell it's in your hand its so lightweight. It's made of super strong carbon for durability. Only thing, I'm not sure why Lew's made the reel this color? The color of this reel doesn't match any rods that Lew's makes. why not Black/Red or Black/white to match the Lew's rods?
