Thermoclines are exposed, fish are truly revealed, hard and soft bottoms are easily distinguished, and structure is clearly defined - all in brilliant color.
A 3.5" color display furnishes higher 320 x 240 resolution, and also features new, brighter LED backlighting for optimum viewing in any conditions - even in bright sunlight and at wider angles.
The 350W RMS Sounder (2,800W peak-to-peak) reaches recently tested depths of up to 200ft, and its new, low-profile, high-speed Skimmer DSI Dual Frequency 455/800kHz Transducer (transom-mount) delivers selectable 455 kHz sounding for wider and deeper sonar imaging, as well as, 800 kHz for enhanced, down-looking, crystal-clear images of targeted locations.
An internal, accurate precision GPS offers superior navigation guidance, even when mounted in-dash, and a waterproof MicroSD media card slot also accepts the most up-to-date mapcard options, including Fishing Hot Spots Pro USA and LakeMaster in the US, and Navionics Gold worldwide. A convenient TrackBack feature also allows you to immediately scroll-back through sonar imaging history to review covered water, pinpoint spots, and load waypoints (saves time and fuel by not having to re-trace your path).
Easier to use thanks to simplified menu options with text and icons for faster and easier selections, as well as, a unique new keypad. A quick-release bracket design offers easy installation, plus one-hand viewing adjustment, and operation at-speed. Comments: Good little unit to keep at console if you have a smaller bass boat. Mine worked great for 1/2 a year and then stopped picking up any cover or fish. Sent to Lowrance and they quickly determined issue (moisture) and sent me a brand new one. Even with the issue I still am fond of this graph. The GPS/Chartplotter is what you would expect and overall it is very simple to operate. Not many settings you can customize, but that will be a good thing for a lot of people. I hear people complain that they can not make out the fish on the screen. Once you realize they are just dots it is helpful. Will get the Elite-5x for the bow shortly.
