Delivering multi-functional performance in a great space-saving design, the Lowrance HDS-5 Fishfinder/GPS Chartplotter StructureScan Bundle features award-winning fish-finding technology, combined with the latest GPS Chartplotter capabilities and Lowrance’s revolutionary StructureScan with SideScan and DownScan imaging. Viewing performance is also exceptionally enhanced with its exclusive, high-resolution 5”/12.7 cm 256-color SolarMAX PLUS daylight display with adjustable screen and keyboard backlighting. The HDS-5 display even provides anglers with Split Screen Presentation, as well as, Sonar and GPS Overlay for quick readings at a glance and improved functionality. New menu displays also deliver quicker and easier access to features.

The internal, ultra-precise 16-channel GPS+WAAS Antenna delivers faster time-to-signal lock and now has the added benefit of incredible, built-in Lowrance Insight cartography: Lake Insight for US Inland Waters and the Great Lakes, Nautical Insight Coverage for detailed US Coastal Waters coverage, and for areas other than the Americas the Navionics World Background map is available. The GPS/Navigation unit also allows anglers to store up to 5,000 waypoints, 200 routes and up to 10 trails with 12,000 points/trails. Various custom mapping options and updates are also available.

The revolutionary, built-in Broadband Sounder is capable of seeing fish in, around and even through structures, at great depths and at high speeds. Serving as the vital link between the transducer and your HDS display, the Broadband Sounder uses a highly-sensitive digital filtering process, capturing targets that are often missed by less powerful sounders as sharp, crisp images. The 83/200 kHz dual-frequency Skimmer transducer sends out a maximum of 250-watts Peak to Peak (31W RMS; 30,000W Peak to Peak analog equivalent) sonar power, down to a maximum depth of 5,000 ft. The entire Lowrance HDS-5 unit is also sealed and waterproofed with built-in Backup Memory capabilities for exceptional durability.

Lowrance StructureScan provides you with the ability to see three different views of the same underwater object, the Lowrance StructureScan provides left, right (SideScan), and DownScan imaging for the highest level of viewing detail ever achieved. Delivering 480 ft (146 m) of side-to-side underwater coverage in super crisp detail, the unit’s SideScan feature helps you cover more water in less time, showing targets, as well as, their imaging scan shadows – game fish and bait fish alike. The DownScan feature, on the other hand, provides more well-defined scrutiny of objects directly beneath your boat, and adds an innovative, new dimension to the StructurScan unit. Submerged timber looks exactly like timber, and stumps, shipwrecks or whatever else is below the surface appears in unprecedented clarity and detail.
