Overview

Developed by Luck-E-Strike, the  Luck E Strike Tickster Spinnerbait utilizes unique, Long Drop blades that create a water displacement equal to the size of the bait, which is the key to its effectiveness. Besides the blades, the Trickster Spinnerbait features a realistic minnow head, and is backed with a super sharp Gamakatsu hook as well. Available in several color combinations to best match the conditions that you may face, the Luck-E-Strike Trickster Spinnerbait offers innovative performance.

Big fish baitWhen I pull into a spot I generally have 3 s/b rods out. I'll always throw the Luck e Strike first. As Clunn said in his you tube video this shape of blade draws the bigger fish first. Really a cheap price for suck a producer.

Comments: I probably have two dozen of the tricksters minimum. No doubt great water displacement. I love the baits and have two suggestions. One the head needs to be either heavier vs the blade sizes or they have head types that are made for better tracking as sometimes these want to roll on you. And another big improvement and one that should be on all quality spinnerbaits is the wire bait keepers for your trailer eliminating having to use super glue. That said these spinnerbaits to me still rate right at the top for big fish!

Comments: Hands down my favorite spinnerbait. This thing thumps like no other. I just wish Luck-E-Strike would sell these blades separately because I want to put them on EVERYTHING.

From: Ben: WY 8/4/22

Comments: Great bait Rick is the legend, Lake Fork 3 in the boat I was the only one catching fish only had one and was worried it would be lost. Most sizes on backorder worth waiting for

From: Pat: Oklahoma 9/17/21

Comments: This has become my "go to spinnerbait", but as others have said it is not very durable.  Having said that, I catch more fish on this  bait, so I tolerate the durability issue.

From: Robert: Mississippi 3/8/21

Comments: You're absolutely correct about the poor quality of the ball bearing swivels. We had to replace 9 of the 12 we own with Spinnerbait Ball Bearing Swivels which work great(and have larger split rings) and are less expensive than Sampos. For an expensive spinnerbait, they should have included a better ball bearing. Cheap is not neat!

From: Blake: Dallas, TX 3/7/21

Comments: I ordered nine of these and had to replace the swivels on eight. They would barely turn or turned with catches. I'm surprised that for a premium price they have such cheap swivels. I like the blades but won't buy anymore or recommend anyone to buy.

Comments: I've been using these for a few seasons now and I can tell you this is my go to spinnerbait, this thing flat out catches fish. I've read some other reviews about these things breaking but I have never had an issue. I've had entire outings in early spring catching fish after fish on the same bait. Try these out, they will not disappoint.

From: Trey - Pennsylvania 8/17/20

Comments: Dull hook. Even with various hook honers the hook won't sharpen properly. It is as bad as it gets.

From: California 8/17/20

Comments: This bait catches fish... and then breaks! First time I used this bait, I caught a small bass relatively quick and the swivel on the main blade broke causing the main blade to randomly seize up which makes the bait spin upside down or veer off course. Replaced the broken swivel with a Sampo and throw the bait back out and catch a 2lber. Now the main blade is completely gone and the blade shaft is bent out of shape. These baits catch fish, but they are not durable at all and definitely not worth $7.50.

From: Dave: Omaha, NE 7/31/20

Comments: First time I used the trickster spinnerbait, I caught a 1-pounder and the ball bearing swivel holding the main blade broke. Now the blade randomly gets stuck and caused the whole lure to tumble.  Should not have to replace terminal components on a spinnerbait that costs this much!

From: DSG: Omaha, NE 7/10/20

Comments: I have purchased 8 of theses, all colors and weights. I have been catching fish with partners using spinnerbait of other brands and not catching anything. Buddy threw and I threw nearly the same spot 5 seconds later and pulled out a 4 pounder. I let same partner make several cast in and around fallen tree and nothing. Second cast I had a 3 pounder. I lost the first one after getting it snagged and pulled and snapped the knot. Lucky for me I have 7 more.

From: Jeff: Poplar Bluff 3/25/20

Comments: Rear blade will come off mid cast or on first fish. Killer bait but worthless without rear blade

From: Unknown: 3/20/20

Comments: We have just started using this spinnerbait and it has become one of our favorites, particularly in off colored water. It has tremendous torque which is one of its key attributes. We addressed the "missing blade issue"  by making sure that the wire holding the ball bearing was flush to the shaft. So far so good!

From: Blake: Dallas, TX 12/5/19

Comments: I just got back from fishing with the spinnerbait. It lasted maybe 10 casts before retrieving it without the main blade. I wasn't even knocking it against anything. Really bummed about this because I just bought it and it didn't even last a trip. I did buy 2, so hopefully it was a fluke, but judging by another review, it might not be the only one to have to blade separate from the bait.

From: James - California 10/13/19

Comments: Seriously, I don't know where or how this thing ended up in my tackle bag, but I am glad it did. I had a great Indiana blade bait that burst into pieces because I threw it too much, and it caught too many fish. I pitched a Colorado blade with no effect, and then I tied on the Trickster. Seriously, I don't know where I got it from, but I thought it was a box store special, and I proceeded to thump them! My best that day was 4.6 pounds, which is not bad up north. BTW, I blew that bait up too, which is why I went looking for another.

From: Dave - 5/8/19

Comments: Well, this will be my first negative review of any product I have purchased from TW. My others are all positive notes. I really do think Rick Clunn is very correct about the large thumping blade attracting larger bass. When I first cast this spinnerbait with a Keitech trailer, it definitely responded with a hardy thump you can feel very strongly in your rod-holding hand. I noticed almost immediately, though, that it ran sort of horizontally: blades off to the left side, lop-sided, not over the top of the jig and its attached plastic. I tried a few tweaks to modify it, never really got it where it ran vertically. Then? I made a final cast . . . final because I saw the larger blade flying through the air apart from the spinnerbait. I have no idea how it broke off over just 30 or so "test casts" from my boathouse deck. One other thing. Just the quality of the whole spinnerbait is rather sub-par. The jig, itself, is unremarkable, the skirt rather thin and sparse. It looks like some I see on shelves that sell for $2.99 "elsewhere." I'd pass on this one, maybe look for a higher quality lure and swap out blades to get the big "thump" Clunn sees as key.

From: Brad - Athens, TX 2/18/19

Comments: Probably the best spinnerbait for stained and muddy water. Puts off a huge vibration in the water. Its a shame these haven't caught on with the general public because they definitely deserve a place in every spinnerbait fishermens box. Great bait Luck E Strike and Rick Clunn.

From: Justin 8/8/17

Comments: GREAT LURE ! Out does all other double blade spinning lures. Bass and Pike love it ! Held up very well vs a 42 inch and 43 inch Musky.  A family favorite when on vacation in Michigan. Thank you  Rick Clunn and Luck E Strike!
