The Hot Lips Express by Luhr Jensen has been a favorite deep diving crankbait of bass fisherman for years. The wide lip design is perfect for deflecting the Hot Lips Express off of wood or any other hard bottom cover this crankbait may encounter. The Hot Lips Express has proven to be an excellent crankbait for the strolling technique and has become a go to bait for deep structure fisherman as it can reach much deeper depths than most standard deep diving crankbaits.

Comments: I have only used the 3/4 oz and this lure might have been out a little while and may not be the prettiest lure out there but it definately has caught just as many fish for me as any other and is definately the best deep crank for the price so use it and abuse it! The hooks seem to work fine for a while but i end up changing them after a few trips or after several fish anyway but other than that it seems to be a decent lure!

Comments: I have not tried the 3/4 ounce bait but the 1/2 ounce baits do not get down fast enough. I think they are better fit for trolling.

Comments: i bought some of these baits when they came out years ago and still have them. they are good crank baits but i changed the hooks. the kvd short shanks work great. they fish well over rock piles and are more weedless than any crank bait i ever used. the new colors like rootbeer and wedgy are great. the bass in lake berryessa ca. love these lures in the bluegill/perch color.

Comments: These cranks really get down deep. The only problem I have had with them is that the hooks bend a lot and you seem to lose a lot of fish on them. Once I changed to better hooks though it was deadly.
Comments: Great action for fishing those off shore structure in 20 plus feet. The green talapia and redear are the best producers here in the southeast.
