MegaBait Charlie Swimbaits

These swimbaits from tackle innovator, Megabait, are just the ticket. The front half of the bait is hard molded plastic with the bill integrally molded in so it can't tear out. Then the whole front half is encased in the same soft plastic that makes up the tail, so the tail section can't easily be ripped off by attacking bass. These baits swim beautifully because the bill gives a side to side motion to the rest of the lure and the tail section is lined with vertical cuts that enable it to move easily with any motion of the bait. The realistic look of the Megabait Charlie swimbaits is enhanced by the fact that they will suspend in freshwater (they will float in saltwater), which means you can stop them dead in the water and they'll hold in place. You can stop them in front of fish holding cover or twitch them along until the fish can't stand it and they have to rush out and kill it. We carry all the sizes in all the colors. They are quite light and can be thrown on rods you already own.

Comments:  Hey Cody, this bait has been around a lot longer than the Swimmin Joe.  I bought my first one at Sport Chalet in early 2003.  Check it out.

Comments: Yes sir, landed my 1st swimbait fish with this Megabait (2lbs). For me this bait is for a slow retrieve. I have the 4" and now I need the 5"

Comments: I've had a good amount of luck with these guys. The perch and white pearl color in the 4 inches are great. The action on the larger baits can be a bit muddled but if you boil water and stick the tail in it for a while it softens them up fine. Pickerel can destroy this bait in one swipe though. I've reeled in half a bait on numerous occasions. GREAT bait for the price.

Comments: Great Bait for the money, Fishing the 4" beauty shad i caught a 3lbs bass in a local park lake the first day i used it. Wish the other colors were better.

Comments:Solid swimbait for the money, I'd recommend the beauty shad color as it's very clean and realistic looking, however i do not recommend fishing it around floating debris, anything gets on the lure like a weed..leaf...etc it can throw off it's wobble. If you get alot of Pike and Muskie they can really chew it up as well.
