Overview

Developed to target fish holding tight to bottom structure, the Megabass Dark Sleeper offers overwhelming realism and an enticing action like only Megabass swimbaits can. Fitted with a low center of gravity weight, which allows it to deliver a stealthy, lifelike presentation as a bottom bouncing swimbait, it also features a soft fin material that is molded entirely around the top hook and instantly collapses when a fish strikes to ensure solid hooksets. The fin guarded hook also allows the Dark Sleeper to penetrate through gnarly cover and deflect potential snags.

Made from ultra tough yet soft plastic that gives it the ability to withstand a tremendous amount of abuse, its supple paddle tail provides a very natural kicking action as well - even at slow crawling retrieve speeds - as it moves in and out of heavy cover to induce strikes from the most wary of fish. Available in one-of-a-kind airbrushed paintjobs, the Megabass Dark Sleeper is definitely a swimbait that should be in every anglers' arsenal.

My dark sleeper experienceIf u fish anywhere where there is smallmouth, u need this bait. I don't know what it is but this thing has caught me so many big smallmouth. Compared to any other bait it even got me my pb a 7 and half pounder and it also catches decent sized largies! Must try lure.

Previous Feedback

Comments: Dark Sleeper I ordered 2 in July Haze 3/8 and 1/2 after reading the reviews I was thinking ( hoping ) this was going to be a game changer just like senko or a ned rig. I didn't have much luck on it. More times I had a jig out fish me. Don't get me wrong I still got some bass on it. I think it did help on higher pressured lakes. I live in Minnesota where we don't have Goby maybe that is why. I will still use the dark sleeper and have one tied on.

From: Kyle: MN 9/21/23

Comments: Catches numbers and quality fish. My best success is off jigging it but I've caught a few slow rolling it along the bottom like others have said. Eyes fall off pretty often but I still throw them after they lose the eyes and don't notice any decrease in performance. I don't really think the eyes matter it's the profile and action that catch fish in my opinion. Only negative is you really gotta slam the hook set I feel like cause the fins get in the way of the hook, which is a positive at the same time for the weedlessness of the bait. Great lure. Worth the money.

From: Nick: Jacksonville, Fl 8/10/23

Comments: Bought these a while back and just attached the first one to line today to fish tomorrow. One eye came off taking it out of the packaging. Crazy glued it back on.

From: Charles: Nova Scotia 7/16/23

Comments: You need a dark sleeper tied on, pretty much at all times. It's one of the most versatile baits on the market today. You can retrieve it, fish it like a jig or even flip around sparse cover with it. The best part is it gets bit in every way. There are some durability issues, which is kind of disappointing at the price point but if you like to catch fish, you get over it.

From: Chesty: NY 7/12/23

Comments: I really want to like this lure. The videos from Megabass are amazing, and according to many users, this thing gets hits. However, I have lost every single one of these that I've throw, darn near instantly. If it gets anywhere NEAR a piece of wood, you're done. The hook finds a way to embed in the nearest lumber and then you have to break off. Use this on hard bottom and grass only.

From: David: Pittsburgh, PA 6/1/23

Comments: I can't speak for fishing it around wood but it kills it around grass/algae and rock. I love it. It has the perfect action on the retrieve and if you jig it the bait slowly falls to the bottom due to the boot tail. The hook it sharp and the fin is pretty good to keep snags at bay. Only gripe is the eyes are a bit easy to come off but I just superglue them if they are loose. This is a bait you want in your arsenal.

From: Elijah : Rome Georgia 5/16/23

Comments: I love it. But I hate it lol. I finally discovered fishing it like a jig and constantly changing retrieves will get you bit with the smallies and the largies. However, at $6 I'd like to not have to super glue the eyes everytime I open the package cause they will fall off. Also the tails will fit pulled off bit smaller fish and gar (they're everywhere in the river I fish). The best fish I've had on yet jumped off because after the 7th fish on one bait the jig head tore through the front and the fish never got the hook. The bite is ferocious, and a lot of fun, but at the same times it has a limit. If they could beef up the plastic just slightly maybe it would help. Or make the eyes connected through a rod instead of barely glued on!

From: Ethan: Manhattan, KS 9/12/22

Comments: Just finally started using these after debating buying one for ages due to the prices. First trip out today, 2 white bass and 1 LMB. The thing worked, when nothing else did. I was impressed with the paddle tail, it honestly had a pretty good thump to it. One downside as other reviews have mentioned, it is not weedless at all, you have to fish it as a swimbait and prepare to get stuck/lose some.

From: Tim: Maryland 9/5/22

Comments: Been using Dark Sleepers for over a year now and I'm very sold on them as a necessary lure in my arsenal. I've had the most success slow crawling them along the bottom like a swimbait, but have done very well fishing them like jigs as well. Each lure is very durable, and some Mend It doctor work at home can extend the life of most baits even further. I'm not a big believer in colors but I prefer the white one/bluegill colors for my peace of mind. Dark Sleeper has accounted for my 2 largest bass this year and plenty other quality fish. 1/2oz 3" is my go to

From: Unknown: 9/3/22

Comments: I have had these sitting around for a while after not having any success after my first few outings. This year I decided to try them again with a different approach. Although it may look like somewhat of a Swimbait it is best fished as a jig. Slow dragging/crawling/hopping it in the strike zone has been a killer. Maintaining bottom contact is critical because the DS will roll and give it subtle action to trigger bites. Best to fish in sparse grass or rocky/sandy bottom. Get you some DS, slow roll it bottom contact and be ready to set the hook!

From: DS: MN 7/28/22

Comments: The good news is I got bit twice in five casts! The bad is the eyes fell off after first and tail ripped off on second. At $3 a bite it seems a little pricey.

From: Jim: Rockford, MI 7/17/22

Comments: After using these for awhile now I feel like I can give my feedback on them. Being megabass you know you're getting a quality product. I've had my best success with these by doing a drag drag then hop, drag drag then hop it. The bass absolutely destroy these, they get them deep. I've found I can get around 10 fish on 1 before I have to break out the mend it or super glue to use on the nose to repair it so the weight will stay in. Overall I couldn't be more pleased with these and I have more of them on the way at the moment.

From: Casey: Indiana 6/10/22

Comments: Decided to give these a try and I was blown away by how the fish were so commuted to these. I got the 1oz version and they got bit all day. Nothing amazing looking or swimming but for some reason the spotties and calicos love it! First time fishing them so not much to say except they get bit! Lost one walking around but the other one withstood the bite and teeth of the spotties. With the money..getting more now Enjoy!

From: Alex M: LA, CA 3/19/22

Comments: Very surprised by this bait. I'm not gonna lie, I was skeptical at first. I bought one just to try it out as they are fairly cheap. I have bought 2 more since then. Awesome little swimbait. Can get bit on this when I feel like I can't get bit on anything else. Something sweet to have in my pile of tackle.

From: Dylan: Minessota 2/23/22

Comments: As pricey as MB products are I expect a little more durability. Also not as weedless as you think. You will get bit though.

From: Unknown: 1/17/22

Comments: Fished these a lot in the salt , have yet to amaze me, read the reviews and watched the YouTube vids. I have had way better luck with the Gitzit paddle fry. Just catches more fish for me. plus its less expensive.

Comments: These little suckers never cease to amaze me. I substitute them in place of a T-rig when flipping light wood for smallmouth, as well as crawling em. I've also caught stupid amounts of trout on them. They aren't super durable, but the versatility and sheer number of bights make them worth it. I've owned somewhere around 30 of them in the last year or two, and they just flat out do work for me.

From: Garrett: Fort Collins, CO 12/7/21

Comments: First off, the weedguard does a okay job of keeping sparse grass off the hook, other than that treat this bait as if it had trebles on it. Now the good, these things get flat out bit. The 3" 1/2oz size in donko and wakasagi has caught me more smallmouth over 4lbs than any other bait I have used I think. These baits do get tore up but you gotta pay to play. If the fish are straight up chewing, a finesse jig or finesse swimbait on a open hook swimbait head is preferred solely for the fact that they are cheaper if you lose them. I use these on a select few bodies of water where the fish are extremely pressured and it seems I have much more success than most people I've talked to on those same lakes and rivers. Loc-tite gel superglue is put on the eyes as soon as I open these from their packaging, they will still fall off but it just prolongs the period of time they stay on, the fish don't really seem to care though. I usually buy as many as I can when I make a restock order  these things are just too good not to.

From: Lex: Minnesota 6/15/21

Comments: Didn't understand the hype for these the past however many years since their release. Looked like a lure that does what a lot of cheaper alternatives can already do. A friend finally talked me into buying a few. After not using one of them for a few trips, I finally tied one on. It accounted for about 10-12 fish of a 100+ fish day, with my fishing partner catching a few on the bait as well. Slow crawled/hopped it along the bottom from 6-20 ft deep. The bait is missing an eye and got pretty shredded, had to super glue the larger tears to preserve the bait. 10-12 fish on a single soft bait is obviously great, but 10-12 fish on a $6 three inch bait isn't much of a bargain in my opinion. I can't stand fishing jigs any way but pitched or flipped into shallow thick tree/stick areas and would always take a texas rig for that deeper water bottom contact fishing instead. I'd feel comfortable fishing the dark sleeper either way, and it does feel like a nice alternative to the trig. Top fin weedguards are serviceable but nothing to write home about.  Wish the baits had their weight printed on them since they produce multiple weights in the same length. Was my opinion of the Dark Sleeper changed after buying and using them? Not really. Other baits do in fact perform the same roles well. Some cheaper due to their durability (jigs), some more expensive (any extremely soft plastic used for trig or swimbait fishing). Does the Dark Sleeper catch fish and have more versatility than other baits that can do at least one of the things the Sleeper can? Yes. Do the baits have a permanent spot in my tackle box? I don't really know. I bought enough that I will get to catch plenty of fish and build a stronger opinion on them before they're all ripped apart or lost in structure. If you have held off on trying the bait for ages like I did, it's certainly a lure worth trying.

From: Unknown: 6/14/21

Comments: This is one of the best swim baits I've used. Caught a nice largie on the first cast with the 2.4 inch. I would give it 5 stars if I could, but I'd recommend securing the eyes a bit better. They tend to pop off after a few fish.

From: Brandon: Texas 6/3/21

Comments: Very impressed with these little swimbaits from megabass!! The action is very very good. Just slow reeling it off the bottom is just perfect. I lost a 8+ pounder with the Wakasagi color because of my knot. I will definitely always have these in tackle box. These guys will catch largemouth, smallmouth, spotted bass, calico bass and many more types of species!!

From: Luke: California 4/19/21

Comments: I use the 3 inch 3/8th when fishing for spotties. They smack it. I haven't used anything else. I use these with some hot sauce or some calico cocktail and I catch fish. I use the darker colors like the haze or donko. But the action the tail has will get you bit on any color.

From: Rob: Lakewood, CA 3/15/21

Comments: Very realistic action and catches fish. Lots of complaints about snags and losing lures.... its weedless and the plastic dorsal does help shed weeds, but its not going to shed wood or hard cover.  Throw it where you would any exposed hook lure and you'll be very satisfied!

From: Unknown 3/6/21

Comments: I'm fishing with the 3/4oz 3" Haze. Catching large rainbows in north Lake Washington right now. I'm not catching many but I've caught one 17"-19" every trip for 6 trips straight. Took down a 20" northern pike minnow as well.I'm not seeing any wear on it. I do use with pro cure. The fish simply inhale it. I have lost a few good bites, but I think my hookup ratio on this bait is improving. Fairly confident I'll get in to some bass with this bait soon.

From: Gil: Kenmore, WA 12/25/20

Comments: These get tore up by sand bass spotted bay bass and calicos best saltwater bass bait ive used. if u find your self in cali go down to your local harbor and u will have a blast with these baits I put scent on mine squid or chovy /sardine

From: Unknown: 11/27/20

Comments: First off, I just want to say this bait is awesome! Awesome design making the dorsal a weed guard. the plastic is very soft and wont last many fish but it will STRAIGHT UP GET BIT! especially for a $5 bait, I'm willing to sacrifice action for durability. The plastic is soft enough that I can reel very very slow and it still have that kicking action.Another great thing is the weight! awesome for fishing deep you can opt for a heavy but compact bait!

From: Chen: Colorado 11/12/20

Comments:I used these on big river smallmouth. They work great, BUT PLEASE MAKE THESE MORE DURABLE. I went through 4 in one day of wading. I did catch lots of fish but the rocks tore up these baits. The fronts were busted after an hour of fishing.

From: John: 11/10/20

Comments:I've been wanting this bait since the day it came out. Struggled to find it in most retail stores, and eventually got it here. The bait is incredible, I've owned it for less than a week and have started slamming fish on it. Only issue is that the eyes need to be superglued on, but other than that this thing is a standout.

From:Wes: Connecticut 7/9/20

Comments: It does have an open hook so it is not the best option for structure. The eyes do fall off. However, even with the eyes falling off and torn from many catches the dark sleeper kept on catching for me and I think it is a great addition to my arsenal. Jigged slowly with pause between jigs really gets the strike. caught about 12 fish before I had to retire the lure from being torn up. Nothing is perfect but presenting a different look can sometimes make the difference between catching and fishing.

From: Bryan: Medford, OR 6/29/20

Comments:High hopes for this bait. caught one bass within a few casts, then it came back with no tail. basically useless now.

From: Unknown: 6/22/20

Comments:The eyes do fall off rather easily sometimes, but trust me the smallmouth don't care. I have some of these that have been absolutely torn to pieces by Great Lakes smallmouth. It almost fishes better when it looks a little beat up, and it looks like a dumb little goby swimming around just waiting to get eaten. I throw these in the same places I'd throw a tube, and just hop it off the bottom like I would a tube; I think it works better than just swimming it. These baits also come through snags pretty well; don't break very many off.

From: Brenden: Michigan 6/5/20

Comments:Sleeper = Money!!Smallmouth and largmouth love it and they smash it hard. When retrieved the bass you can see the sleeper fully in gulf.

From:Unknown: 5/25/20

Comments:It's a decent bait for the prize, only problem I had is that the eyes were poorly made because they come right off after about 2-3 fish. Other then that I've managed to catch a few fish on it. But not really something to go after big bass with, but won't fail to catch fish.

From:Cesar: 5/14/20

Comments: Good lure. Swims great, even at a slow retrieve. The only problem I have with these are, the eyes fall off. I've had 3 the an eye has fallen off.

From: Unknown 5/3/20

Comments: Don't get it.Have yet to catch a fish on one of these.During time when we "scrub" a swimbait on bottom, got no response. Was hoping to have some results, but did not.Bait is not overpriced.I'll keep tryin.

From: Coach: Shell Knob 4/28/20

Comments:I pitched the bait around cypress trees. Got hung up every other cast. Eye fell out soon after. Consider this bait as just another bait with an open hook. The dorsal fin as weedguard is a sales gimmick. But the bait swims nicely just need a clean bottom. Did I mention that I got hung up a lot?

From: Pjillip: Monroe, LA 4/20/20

Comments:Heard alot talk about these and finally picked one up. Was fishing low 40s water and nothing was working. Tied the Haze DS on and was shocked. Caught 5 back to back. Truly impressive. Ended up breaking my line and losing it after those, loaded up the boat and heading to grab more. Got back and continued slaying them. Highly recommend this!

From: Preston: Nebraska 3/28/20

Comments:Amazing little bait, bought it a few months ago and never got the change to use it until recently. The bite was pretty difficult. The dark sleeper caught em good just dragging the bottom like a jig. Unfortunately I lost it to a log, will definitely be buying more!

From: Ty: Indiana 3/10/20

Comments:Amazing Swimbait. Went to an extremely pressured pond and caught over 5 bass all with it down their throat. I think the small subtle paddle tail puts a lot more fish on the boat compared to Keitechs or other bigger paddle tail Swimbaits.

From: Brian: 12/6/19

Comments:Honestly, it's a bait that a smaller swimbait rigged correctly can easily replicate. They were sold out because a LOT of reviewer's came out of the gate praising the Dark Sleeper. Which, is fishy. Learn to use swimbaits-3.0-7"-match the hatch and pair with the proper ballhead, weighted swimbait hook or...sssshhh.. Tokyo rig. Smash em

From: Zac S: Portland, OR 11/6/19

Comments:Not as weedless as you'd think. Constantly gets snagged when thrown around light reeds.

From:Unknown: 9/12/19

Comments:Got one of these and just used it today. Caught two fish in the summer mid day heat. It gets bites and it is very fun to fish The eyes will fall off but the bait action is worth it. Swim them slow and let them get hit. Will be buying more.

From:Tyler: Santa Rosa, CA 9/5/19

Comments:Yes, they catch fish but I have to believe they are sold out because they were featured on TV- Bass Pros.Keitech Fat on a weedless jig head is pretty much the same thing.

From:John: WI 6/28/19

Comments:Smallie slayer. Colors haze. Donko and mutsugorou are great goby imitators up in Michigan. And the clear pink slays them. Tails do rip but the plastic seems very accepting to super glue. Amazing bait I have a tackle box full.

From:Thomas: CO 6/17/19

Comments:This little dude flat out catches em. That's all there is to it and will catch them from 1 foot to 30 foot. Can fish it like a swimbait or a football jig. Yea eyes will come off after several fish but that will happen on any plastic with stick on eyes. Every fish has had the bait choked.

From: Aaron:Bronson5/16/19

Comments:Very skeptical about this bait..read the reviews and well one day I ordered it... again this sat in the package for a few weeks. The bite was slow and was looking for something new to try and spotted this.I was shocked on the 2nd cast I had a fish lol..and well I finished the day with about 10 bass..2nd day out i caught a 4 pounder...The looks of this bait to me makes no sense but... it works, it just works.Ordering more now..

Comments:Bought one, lovely lure. Made four casts, got stuck four times. Only managed to get it back three times. Not as weedless as you think

From: Nunya Fly:Philadelphia, PA5/2/19

Comments:this lure is most realistic lure on here works when nothing else does hands down a fish catcher get them why you can !

From: Austin:new york4/22/19

Comments:Started to use the Sleeper last season and have phenomenal results with the product, with substantial numbers of fish as well as some hefty fish.It is a great bait for the novice to use because of the length of time the fish will hold the bait in it's mouth, allowing a beginner to realize he has a fish and set the hook. The first time I used the bait I missed a couple of fish because of the hook seemed to miss the fishes mouth.I have since modified my baits by taking a small pair of scissors, and cutting from where the hook comes out of the bait, down the shank of the hook about 3/8" of an inch. This allows the hook to rotate into the fish easier, and accounts for a higher hook-up ratio for me.The bait must be working because if you look at the TW site most of the colors and sizes are back-ordered!

From: Brian:Spokane Valley4/10/19

Comments:First time using dark sleeper pulled five bass of their beds, just let it sit nose down really seemed to aggravate them, durability not great going to try mend it but five fish with one bait, that's not too bad, really really enjoyed using them and if you cast and retrieve they fly a mile super fun to fish.

From: Zach:Oklahoma4/10/19

Comments:Tied on my first dark sleeper and caught a 4lb bass on 3rd cast. 47degree water bouncing off the bottom. Looks very realistic, and swims great because of where the weight is located. A swimbait with a small profile.

From: Brian:Lubbock11/25/18

Comments:Such a super groovy little bait. When it was warmer I would cast it a mile and just swim it. Now it's freezing cold so I fish it like a jig. I was on a small pond that gets hammered at lunch time and with three other yahoos out there chucking everything and the kitchen sink, I was able to get some fish.

From: Jay6:khakis and polos11/20/18

Comments:I have a few of the dark sleepers in 3/8 and 1/2 and my favorite is either the clear pink or clear chart. This bait is pretty weedless and when I feel a weed on I can just pop it and usually it will come off right away. I find this this bait works best when working it as a jig but you can also do a straight retrieve and can still get hit. I will definitely be buying more as the smallmouth here absolutely love this bait.

From: Jacob - Wisconsin 10/22/18

Comments:I've already left a review on the Dark Sleeper but I'd like to add another. This bait is so natural to fish they will hold on to it it for extended periods. Which leads to increased hook up ratios. Every fish I've caught on the Dark Sleeper has held on to the bait for extended periods of time. When fish bite this bait they choke it. My last time on the water (yesterday) every fish I caught had this bait deep in their mouth. As fishermen what else can you ask for. Fish really do not know what hit them. My experience fishing these baits has been incredible.

From: Unknown - California 10/21/18

Comments:I bought this bait because we like to try out a lot of new technology . This bait had bass and crappie smashing it. I went with the 3/8 oz size in all the colors the lighter colors worked better for us. They worked very well but we needed some bigger because the hook was just too small for the bass we were trying to get in the boat. But when they bit it they swallowed it. Huge crappie 45 to 50 of them, bad part was we were in a BASS tournament and they were just eating this bait all day. It can only take so many bites then its coming apart but it did hold up well and the fish hung on and didn't spit it out. Pressured Bass love this bait. I am going with some bigger sizes and will see what happens. Great bait, love the results . Highly Recommended!!

From: Natalie - 10/8/18

Comments: This Bait does wonders on the great lakes thus far, but my one and only complaint is it dose not stand up well against fish with sharp teeth. I caught everything from bass & drum to walleye & pike on this. 10/10 will be stocking up on this and making it a regular in my rotation.

From: Allan - Cleveland, OH 9/15/18

Comments:The MB Dark Sleeper is one of the most fun baits on the market to fish. The uniqueness of this bait makes it hard for even pressured California bass to turn down. At first glance this bait looks like another gimmick to catch fishermen. However this is not the case. My first experience fishing the dark sleeper was phenomenal. I don't think there's another bait in existence that could have matched or out performed the Dark Sleeper yesterday. The keeled weight design of the bait along with the tail action made it the perfect offering. The fish couldn't resist it they were eating it before it even hit bottom on most casts. We were fishing offshore structure targeting suspended and bottom oriented fish holding in 25-30 feet of water. Hoping the bait up off the bottom and allowing it to free fall back down. Most bites would come on the fall. The soft plastic dorsal fin around the hook does help the bait come through cover very well. We fished in and around submerged brush with very few issues. But no bait is 100% snagless. Excellent little bait. I purchased 4 initially but I will be buying more.

From: Dennis:Central Coast California 9/2/18

Comments:Nice looking bait. Not as weedless as everyone thinks.

From: Lourens:South Africa9/2/18

Comments:New favorite bottom contact bait.Fish it like a jig, or work it fairly slowly like a crankbait and hold on!I caught 8 fish in my first 20 casts, both during bright bluebird days and at night. It does hang up around wood but surprisingly pops out of rocks pretty easily.STRONG hook, tip doesn't roll and holds its sharpness well.My first one is so chewed up its insane but gets smashed.Skipped behind a dock, got bit by a 5 lber and pulled him over the cable with 25lb p-line flouro and hook held like a champ. Buttoned her up on the tongue. Like a drop shot hook, where it touches they get pegged. You don't have to set the hook like a jig, but I do out of instinct. Best $6 I've spent since the DT-10.

From:Unknown: Oklahoma 8/26/18

Comments:Looks amazing in the water and has really good action. I went out to fish the 3/8oz 2.5 inch Mutsugorou first time and bass of all sizes just crush this thing left and right, but my only problem with this bait is that the eyes came out after the first fish. Still an amazing swimbait. 10/10 would buy again.

From: Lourens :South africa8/23/18

Comments:I didn't even work this on the bottom at all. I just chucked them super far and retrieved. Caught some really nice bass on the pink color, 1 oz, plus a couple of pike. Held up nicely till my line snapped on a wild cast. Buying more!

From:Franco: Toronto, ON, Canada

Comments:Only took this bait out once so just my fish initial impressions.Threw it in clear pressured pond with lots of weeds, where open hooked baits produce but half the time pulling up a lot of salad. This thing got bit twice in less than 30 min. Was throwing the mutsuguro dark colored bait. I like the white under belly and the detailed design overall. It feels compact when I casted it so it almost felt like a natural splash of a fish.Looks natural, swims natural. Just remember to set the hook like a jig to really get that hook through.Fun to throw and fish. Will update after a few trips but very happy after one trip. This lure gets bit.But my life's eye popped out, too..just like the other guys

From: Unknown: Bay area CA8/3/18

Comments:First time throwing it, caught 5 fish in an hour, biggest being 4.2ib's. The eye's do fall out, and the tail will get bent if not stored properly, but after 5 fish, this one bait is still usable. Goes through the weeds well. Can fish it like a jig or a swimbait, got bites both ways. Absolutely love this bait now!

From: Minnesota7/17/18

Comments:Great little swimjig/swimbait, it's pricey, but so is everything else MB. I've got it in wakasagi. I cast it out, let it drop to bottom and drag it back to the boat reeling up any slack. Pop it up every once and a while and this thing will get smashed. Smallies love it, my brother caught his PB Northern (22lb - ~40") on this bad boy in the Shirauo colour - we both use the 1oz version. The eyes are still in on mine but they are scratched up. Couple of things to note:1) keep the plastic clamshell for post use to keep the tail in proper form and don't leave it in the sun2) you will get snagged, and the chin below the line tie will deteriorate over time, the eyes will pop out also 3) the paint will peel off the bait like flaking skin, still works and fish don't care 4) most importantly, don't tell your friends about our 'sleeper'

From:Jon: Barrie, Ontario 6/21/18

Comments:I love this bait it flat out destroys the fish. The tails will get kinked if you store them with other lures but I keep them in the plastic packaging that they come in to avoid that. The eyes will come out, but if you put mend-it over the eyes or superglue it will keep them in place. The plastic used is really soft and this bait skips very easily. Overall awesome bait from megabass and will be buying more!

From: Unknown 6/4/18

Comments: my tails got bent after storing in a tackle box for just a few days, they were stored nicely too, they do not swim right anymore. I like the action of them but the plastic is just a little too soft. I have tried boiling them back into shape but that did not work.

From: Unknonwn 3/5/18

Comments: Looks great in the water. When it sits on the bottom the tail floats and looks great. Also has a strong hook. Most importantly it catches fish.

From: Unknown California 2/28/18

Comments:It's a nice swimbait, has really good action and looks real in the water. It casts well and will certainly get you bit. My only issue is the eyes got knocked out on the first fish but that doesn't really affect the action of the bait. I'd recommend getting a few. I catch little fish
