Comments: These are great baits, especially in smaller rivers. Probably the reason more people don't use em is the exposed treble hook gets hung up easily, especially in rivers. Cast upstream out from bank, let sink and reel in. You WILL catch fish, and plenty of em but bring lots of extras and a lure retrieving device of some kind cause you will get hung up on ANYTHING in the way. As for these being the only thing to catch pike, come up to our neck of the woods and we catch pike and musky on everything bass will hit.

Comments: I use nothing else for pike. I have tried using glidebaits, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, crankbaits, and more but nothing has gotten me a single hookup on a pike other than a mepps size 5 aglia. I have also caught many largemouth and smallmouth on the aglia. I will always keep at least one of these in my tackle box when I am going to a lake or river with pike.

Comments: Size 1 (1/8th oz) is a Smallmouth killer in streams. Great spinner for everything that swims in lakes too. Every year I catch 2-3lb bass and a few 30" plus Pike on these small size 1 spinners. The larger sizes will consistently catch Largemouth, Smallmouth and Pike. Great lures, I've been using them for 40 years.

Comments: I agree. Truly one of the most overlooked smallmouth lures. If you throw downsized spinnerbaits or small crankbaits in Fall for shallow smallies, you should be throwing one of these as well. I used to catch way more smallies when I was a kid when I used these. Then I over complicated things as I got caught up in all the other lures on the market. I've recently gone back to these and have definitely done well.

Comments: I use they for smallies most of the time. it may seem like they are trout lures they are still one of my most favorite lure to use. I strongly recommend them.
