Minn Kota Terrova i-Pilot - $1489.99 to $1739.99
The product of thousands of hours of in-lab and on-the-water testing, as well as, extensive input from avid anglers, the Minn Kota Terrova i-Pilot Trolling Motor is the most advanced bow-mount trolling motor Minn Kota has created to date. Minn Kota’s advanced i-Pilot uses GPS technology to allow you to lock onto a fishing spot, record and retrace paths, set cruise control, and more. All with GPS accuracy.
Offering many new enhancements, the innovative electric steering platform for the Minn Kota Terrova i-Pilot Trolling Motor has been engineered to provide incredibly responsive and precise steering - with resolution of less than one degree.
An all-new ergonomically designed corded foot pedal also features a new low-profile design that puts less strain on your foot and ankle, and delivers the best of both worlds in steering options - heel-to-toe or left/right steer buttons. Included on the foot pedal is an AutoPilot on/off button, as well as, LED indicator lights. One LED light illuminates when AutoPilot is on and the other illuminates when the motor is in constant-on mode. Completely waterproof, the foot pedal plug features the highest Ingress Protection (IP) waterproof rating in the marine industry, IP68.
Terrova also showcases a breakthrough stow and deploy mechanism, which features fall-away ramps that effortlessly deploy the motor into the water. A balanced motor design also greatly reduces stowing effort. In addition, Terrova includes an exclusive feature that automatically turns off power when the motor is stowed.
The Minn Kota Terrova i-Pilot Trolling Motor also comes standard with an indestructible composite shaft (guaranteed for life), push-to-test battery meter, Weedless Wedge 2 Prop, and Minn Kota's Digital Maximizer technology, which provides up to five times longer run time on a single battery charge.
Minn Kota's i-Pilot Wireless GPS Trolling System (Buit-In) features additional recording capacity to store up to a total of six Spot-Lock and six Record-A-Track locations.
The new i-Pilot remote (included) offers improved functionality and enhanced durability. Its 20-percent larger LCD screen and function icons, its overall slimmer, more ergonomic design, and its easy-access battery compartment all combine to improve visibility and handling.
Among i-Pilot's many features, the Terrova i-Pilot Trolling Motor features i-Pilot’s Spot-Lock, which works like an electronic anchor, holding the boat in place. If the boat drifts more than five feet from the Spot-Lock location, i-Pilot will activate the trolling motor to keep the boat on the designated spot. It automatically corrects for wind, waves, current and drift. The "recall" feature for Spot-Lock provides the ability to return to that specific location at a later time. (Stores up to six Spot-Lock locations)
The Record-A-Track feature allows an entire fishing track, up to a remarkable two miles in length, to be stored to memory (up to six separate tracks). When you want to retrace a course in either direction, i-Pilot’s playback functions will automatically guide your boat along the track.
The i-Pilot’s Cruise Control maintains real-time on-the-water boat speed in one-tenth mile-per-hour increments. This precise speed control allows the angler to dial in bait presentations in trolling applications.
The Advanced AutoPilot feature utilizes GPS technology to maintain the boat path on a true heading while adjusting for wind, waves, current and side-drift. This results in improved and more accurate tracking compared to traditional compass-based systems. CoPilot is Minn Kota’s wireless trolling motor control system and is integrated into the i-Pilot remote control. It allows you to control speed and steering from anywhere in the boat. The new benchmark in electric-steer, bow-mount trolling motor performance, the Minn Kota Terrova with built-in i-Pilot takes trolling motor performance to a whole new level.

Comments: Amazing performance and ease of use. The spot lock is the most amazing feature and has changed the way I fish entirely. With a little practice in high wind or high current situations both the autopilot and spot lock feature will allow you to focus on fishing and NOT managing the boat. I put the 80lb model on a Nitro z6 and it allows me to zip around other anglers with amazing control and accuracy. I have also found that using GPS speed rather than motor speed also allows for better and more consistent working of key structure, cover, or any situations where you want good control and timing. Quite literally, this motor has made me a more effective structure fisherman.

Comments: hands down best trolling motor money can buy. Best part about it is how easy it is ti use with I pilot . Ive herd people complain about the repose time for the peddle is slow, not on my boat its just as fast as any cable drive peddle ive used . Paired with the ipilot OMG!! u can spend more time fishing and less time with the peddle . I can honestly say i will never own another bass boat with out the terrova and ipilot again.

Comments: This is a very nice motor. Seems to deploy and stow a little easier than older electice steer motors. Still not as easy as a cable steer model. This motor is great in operation. The handheld remote has turned out to be an awesome feature. I find myself spending little time using the foot pedal. The best feature though is the spot lock. It is an electronic achor. I have used it with a stout wind coming off of lake Erie, and it held my boat in place. I have also used it in the Detroit River, and it will compensate for the current, and hold me right where I tell it to. This motor has made boat control so much easier! If you want an electic steer motor, this one is the best.
