Overview
Offering improved durability and reliability, the MotorGuide X3 Foot Control Trolling Motor delivers serious performance and incredible angler value. It also provides best-in-its-class precision steering thanks to its dual cable pull-pull system that eliminates slack. Its innovative patent-pending Variable Ratio Technology also reduces torque steer feedback and improves responsiveness, while its newly designed and reinforced foot pedal delivers better feel and control.
Much quieter as well, fewer metal-to-metal interfaces, precision bearings, and new composite locking pins eliminate more noise and ensure noise-free operation over time. A rigid, aircraft-grade aluminum mount, stainless steel bushings and outer shaft, and composite shaft (with a lifetime guarantee) also ensure years of reliable use. Comments: Plenty of power for my 16 ft boat but the mount is getting noisy after 6 months and I never did like the action of the speed switch, it is very stiff and is not 360 degree like the old ones I had. Lowest power (1) setting is way-too-much also.

Comments: I love this trolling motor, its perfect in every way except the arrow, it tends to move on its own, it gets annoying but lucky i know which way the motor is facing from the position of my foot.

Comments: absolutely love this thing. Ive been using mine since early April 2014 and I fish on average 2-3 days a week often times more, if I had to guess I have around 300 hours on mine and it works just as good as it did the day I installed it. I've ran it into rocks, trees, docks, and whatever else you can think of. The composite shaft goes right back to normal. Its extremely efficient if you run it on 2-3 power, I have only ran my battery dead once and that was a 12 hour day with high winds so I can't complain. Love how easily the peddle rocks back and fourth, and i also love easily you can adjust the running depth on the fly. I 100% recommend this to any level angler looking for a bad ass reliable trolling motor.

Comments: Great trolling motor, no problems yet, except that the top navigation arrow. You can spin it around with your hand and every once in awhile, it gets spun around and drives me into the bushes. Easy fix but it becomes a nag. 4.5/5 stars.
