A few years ago some dedicated big bass anglers discovered a lure that looked like it was made in someone's garage with rough finishes and poor paint that could really catch fish. That lure was the AC Minnow. While most of us have heard of the ground breaking AC Plug few of us have ever heard of the AC Minnow, much less fished with it but the people who have used them have put fish in the boat. Now, Optimum Lure Co, noted makers of soft plastic swimbaits has teamed up with the AC Minnow's creator and come out with this lineup of finely crafted, nicely finished wood baits based on the original, fish catching design. The swimbait tail creates plenty of movement while the hinged body swims enticingly giving you plenty of action. The hinge on the AC Minnow is a great design, instead of joined screw eyes, there is a vertical post with a screw eye ring encircling it for freedom of movement and noise. Wake the bait slowly across the surface or give it a couple of good pulls and swim it a couple of feet deep depending on conditions and what the fish want. This versatile lure comes in 3 sizes and plenty of colors to match whatever you think the fish might be eating on your lake.
