Oakley Straight Jacket Sunglasses - $190.00
The STRAIGHT JACKET Sunglasses are the favorite of Pro Bass Angler Kevin Van Dam because of the performance and comfort they impart on long days in the sun and glare. The latest edition Straight Jacket combines aggressive styling with the best technologies ever to dominate light rays.
Oakley has established itself over the last quarter century as a global icon in performance eyewear - continuing to create the most technologically advanced optic wear by pushing performance and innovation like the world-class athletes that wear their products.
The durable, lightweight O Matter Frames in every pair of Straight Jacket Sunglasses provide all day comfort with the help of the Unobtanium Components (Earshocks and Nosepads) which actually increase grip with perspiration. They are both part of the Oakley Three-Point Fit that holds lenses in precise optical alignment and offers all-day comfort - even limiting damaging rays penetrating from the periphery of the lenses. The O Matter frames and Oakley lenses also provide unsurpassed protection against high-velocity and high-mass impact – exceeding the standards of impact tests established by the American National Standards Institute.
Oakley's Polarization technology surpasses industry standards for clarity, performance and durability - eliminating the blinding rays of glare with the greater than 99% efficiency. Oakley lenses are also made of lightweight Plutonite Material that inherently blocks 100% of all UVA, UVB, UVC and harmful blue light. Both the Polarization and Plutonite technologies are actually formulated into the lens construction – not a thin layer that scratches off like most lenses on the market.
Lenses also include Oakley's proprietary smudge-proof Hydrophobic Coating which repels water, oil, perspiration and dust - making cleaning your lenses a breeze.

Comments: I purchased a pair of these sunglasses in 2011. I can honestly say that they are definitely superior to other high-end polarized glasses, in this price range. However, the Wiley-X P-17's are cheaper and much more effective. I've given each brand equal opportunity, under various fishing conditions. The Oakley Straight jackets provides great subsurface vision and detail. However, the Wiley-X P-17's provides vision and detail that have to be experienced first hand. If you already have the Straight Jacket, purchase the Wiley-X P-17 and you'll never go back.

Comments: I Love these glasses, I have both Black Iridium Polarized and the Shallow Blue Polarized. They fit well and firm, so I am not worried about them coming off. They block a good amount of peripheral sun glare, which is very important when the sun is off to your left or right side. I use the Shallow Blue during the spawn and the Black Iridium the rest of the season. I feel the Black is more versatile (For Me) and wear them much more than the blue. Also you can leave the black on when you are off the water and they don't distort colors like the blue. I'm not knocking the blue; I just want to be clear about the differences. I know I had a hard time choosing between the blue and the black so I bought both, not very economical choice but Fishing and Hunting are my only vices so I splurge on them. So here is my review for each lens.
Blue ‹ Really good for cutting through the water to see bedding fish, grass and structure. Changes how you see colors, noticed they give an orange, to red tinge to things when you don't focus, especially the top of the water.
Black ‹ All around I feel these are a better choice if you have to choose 1 between the 2 colors I have. I can't speak for the others available, I don't have that much $. They do not distort colors and do cut through the water to see Fish, Structure and Grass very well. If I were to do it all over again, I would only buy this lens. I can wear these all day long without feeling like I need a break from color distortion.
