Okuma Citrix Casting Rods - $119.99

The lightweight Okuma Citrix Casting Rods are here.  Featuring super sensitive IM8 graphite blanks, the Citrix Casting Rods also have plenty of head-turning power. Designed to perfectly match up and balance with the Okuma Citrix Casting Reels, Okuma removed all but the necessary material from the rod series, and used cutting-edge materials to help reduce weight even further. High-end ALPS stainless steel guide frames with braid-ready Zirconium inserts also help facilitate longer casts and reduced friction.

Pair your favorite Okuma Citrix Casting Rod with the Okuma Citrix Casting Reel - for the ultimate lightweight combo.

*Stainless Steel Hook Keeper

Comments: I don't know if it makes me feel better, or worse to read that a lot of other guys are having the same thoughts and feelings about this rod that I do. I guess it is good to know that it's not me, it's the rod. But at the same time, it shoots down any thoughts of just getting a different power and length to solve the problems. I bought the 6'6" medium and if I didn't actualy read "MEDIUM" on the rod I would have sworn it was a light action! The tip is sooooo soft it's unreal! And it's really not all that light either. It's a decent rod don't get me wrong, but for the price??? I paid less for my Veritas and LOVE it so much more! I had the same thoughts about the Citrix reel also...It looks cool as hell, but for the money....My Revo S out performs the Citrix all day long, and cost about the same. Point is....Unless your a die hard Okuma fan and have your heart set on buying this rod, I would seriously look at something else.

Comments: The tip is way too soft and the med hvy feels like a medium light action rod. I am very disappointed and I am going to sell it.

Comments: Got the 7'M along with a citrix reel. AWESOME COMBO, the rod is very light and even though a M doesn't seem quite like a medium, it was exactly what I needed for my lighter baits. Paired with a Citrix reel, you got a mean combo, for a great price.

Comments: I purchased the MH, but had to return it. It had a very flexible tip; felt softer than my Med. Diawa which I use for crankbaiting. The MH would not be good for worming or jigging which is what I was looking for. It is pretty light in weight and is an attractive looking rod, but by no means is it as light as a Carrot Stick or Garcia Veritas. I don't believe it is worth $120 because it is just too soft even for cranking and feels like it could break with a hard hook set.

Comments: yeah.. i dont know what that JP guy was talking about but this is a super light rod and worth every penny

From: Jim: Ft. Polk, LA

Comments:  JP, i don't know what you are talking about. This is one of the lightest rods I have felt. at least the 7' Medium. I couldn't believe how light the combo felt put together. I am very pleased with this rod and the sensitivity is great.

From: Ben: Indiana, USA

Comments: I was a little upset with this rod. For $120 I was expecting a lot more. For a rod that claims to be "light" it was much heavier then I expected. It had a horrible balance to it and sensitivity was sub par. The MH had am almost parabolic bend that just did not fit my fishing style. Overall- average rod with updated components. Should be $69.99.

From: JP: Rockville, MD

Comments: My youngest son started tourny fishing with me, since then he has been wanting his own arsenal of equipment. His first rod was a C3 Okuma which was his favorite rod and he proved it at Clear lake last year. This year he got a Matching Citrix rod and reel. Dollar for dollar you cant beat this rod for quality and price.
