The Okuma Concept C3 Casting Rods are Okuma's answer to a tournament caliber casting rod series. Performance was Okuma's main objective in creating the C3 Series Rods and they took no prisoners. The aggressive styling of the new C3 Rods is matched with premium features and components just as aggressive. Utilizing ultra-sensitive 40 ton graphite blanks, you'll be able to feel every tick and bump of your bait and when you need to steer that big bass away from trouble the power is there too.
Okuma took many steps to make the C3 Casting Rods their lightest and most sensitive rods to date. Double-Footed Titanium Guide Frames with Zirconium Inserts and Single-Footed ALPS low-profile guides on the tip section create better rod action and thus more sensitivity and strength. The Ported Fuji Reel Seat and Split Grip Butt Section provide a solid base and additional weight reduction. But the most unique feature of these rods are the 100% carbon grips with an Okuma exclusive finish that actually increases your grip – feeling slightly tacky to the touch. The Okuma C3 Rods won't let you down when the tournament bite is on. Relative to the sensitivity and power, not to mention the extreme light weight of these rods, it would be hard to find a better value in a tournament caliber rod.

Comments: Nice light rod. Great for the money. Haven't used it on the water yet because of winter but excited to try it out.

Comments: great rod super sensitive with plenty of back bone. Its a fast blank so if that's what you love like I do then your gonna love em. The only downside is I wish the cone on the butt was bigger.
Comments: I have a 7" MH, I got caught up in the carbon fiber stuff and bought it from TW without checking it somewhere locally. Rod is heavy and it feels like I'm holding a metal pole. Last time I will buy a rod without checking it out. I'm going to trade or sell it to my buddy. Nothing against the rod, its just too heavy for my taste.

Comments: I purchased the 7' Med last year. Although the rod looks nice, the concept is horrible. During the summer, down south, when the outside temp is 90+ degrees, you will seriously burn your arm from the split grip design. And there is no hook keeper...buyer beware - these are nice rods if you tape the skeleton section on the butt, but why should you have to for $150.00.

Comments:Very satisfied with these rods. Bought the 6'6" MH and 7' MH in August 09, thought for the price I would give them a try since I had heard some good things from industry folks about Okuma for this year. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Rating them 1 to 10, lightness 8, sensitivity 8, power 10, value 10, overall would rate these rods 9 out of 10. Thank Tacklewarehouse for making these rods available to us! I will probably add two or three more to my arsenal for next year!

Comments:I would love this rod that much more if it had a bait holder!

Comments:Not the lightest rod and is a little heavy. Great sensitivity and a good strong rod. Really impressed with it.
From:Matt: Canton, MI
Comments:Nice rod...lightweight, sensitive, and strong...I got the 7'6" Medium....one design flaw I found is the cone on the butt of the rod is too small....inconsistant with the size of the handle cones...it really should be about 1 inch more in diameter, otherwise an excellent rod! Also the Okuma website claims this rod has 11 guides plus the tip. but it actually only has 10 guides plus tip.

Comments:I purchased this rod about a month ago and so far so good. It's a very tough and sensitive rod. I fought a 6.5 largemouth today and it handled it very well. They were short striking and not really slamming my Texas rigged craw. The bites I got were very soft and light but with my C3 I knew when a bass was picking it up. Distinguishing a rocky bottom from a light bite could be tough for some people, so for increased sensitivity I recommend this rod. The only thing I could bicker at is the C3 rod doesn't have a hook holder, so I had to buy one with a velcro strap. All in all this is a great rod. Thanks Okuma
