Comments: I have been using the 112 model for a year now and I have to say this reel is running with the $100 reels. Smooth drag, metal frame, and smooth bail flip. Truly will not disappoint.

Comments: What a work horse. I have had this reel for nearly two years and used it in both salt and fresh water. I've taken it with me around the country, fished in rain, fished in sand, and put this thing to serious work. I have no complaints at all. I have only had to oil and grease it once and not because it was acting funny, just because I wanted to maintain its performance. I have put high test braid, cranked down the drag and ripped bass out of lily pads attached to a frog many a times when it seems like my rod would break before the reel fails me. For this low a price you are getting a high performance and highly reliable reel from a great company. If I ever need another spinning reel in the future Penn definitely has earned themselves a repeat customer because I would buy another a Fierce, no questions asked. You will not regret spending the best $59.99 on a fishing reel that you'll ever spend.

Comments: Got this reel about a month ago. First spinner i've ever had, usually am on the conventional. But was going on a trip to the tropics and wanted a good rod to pop with for some GT's and Tuna. Went CHEAP, and was a bit scared, but i have maybe one negative thing to say... just a bit heavy. But, man up, its only a few ounces. Feels great reeling in, and you can really crank down the drag. I got the 8000 size, and it went amazing with 80lbs PowerPro braid. Really a great reel for the price you pay, and I beat the crap out of it for 2 weeks, and hooked about 10 tuna with it, and still held up perfectly. More than happy with this reel and would recommend it to everyone. Very smooth and comfortable to handle as well. Such a great reel for the price. The smaller models I would assume work just as well:) cheers.

Comments: hey, the penn fierce is a great reel. I'm a big wacky worm fishermen and I mainly use baitcasters with wacky worms, but I wanted to get a spinning combo for wacky worms too. Got the Pam fierce, and the berkely lightening rod shock 7ft med lt and its beautiful. Just use some 10 pound braid and use a 2 ft flouro leader and it works great with wacky worms. Give penn a try, it's worth it.
