Its rigid, one-piece, solid aluminum frame and sideplate construction provide a compact profile that is extremely comfortable and easy to handle. Housed inside are 7 double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings and a one-way clutch instant anti-reverse bearing for fluid casts and retrieves. Also assisting with casting is the reel's patented 6-pin adjustable centrifugal brake system providing a wide range of casting precision.

Though it's lightweight, the Pflueger Asaro doesn't compromise when it comes to internal parts and landing fish, it has everything the bigger reels have except the size and weight. With its Titanium line guide and machined, ported and anodized aluminum spool, its up to the task of handling today's braided super lines. When a fish is on, the multi-disc main gear applied drag system doesn't disappoint either. The drag system has the power and range to match the fight of an angry bass with 15 lbs of max drag and audible star adjustment.
