Comments: I have two older Purists, circa 2008. Good reels, for a basic plastic framed package. The drags arent great, but they grind all day. Until the the levelwind pawl break, which happens about every 2 years. Not hard to fix, quite literally a $3.00 part. I hope they improved the levelwind assembly in this model, but if they havent its a pitfall to watch out for.

Comments: I have one of these from 2 years ago, it is probably my best reel, not sure how good the new ones are but the old ones were great, can only expect better from the new! I have a citica,revo sx,quantum kvd reel and this one is much better than any of them. Only down side is that the old one had a plastic bearing at the spool tension knob so not sure if this one does or not. Overall it still is a great reel.
