The Trion Baitcasting Reel is built on a solid one-piece aluminum frame for strength and durability. The moving parts all glide smoothly on Pflueger's six bearing system. The machined aluminum spool is extremely strong and will not tweak or buckle under pressure. The spool is also drilled for a much lighter weight, so you can pitch or cast the lightest lures easily. The centrifugal brake system is easy to access through the side plate and it features Pflueger's Quick Release system. The titanium nitride line guide will remain smooth even after extended use so your line will never suffer abrasion and will slide through easily for more distance with each cast. The 6.3:1 gear ratio will get your bait moving quickly but still give you plenty of fish-handling power. Comments: The Trion is not a good reel.  I don't like the construction, balance, or performance.  I do not recommend this product, and I have downgraded this from my bass gear to my saltwater gear, which is what I do with equipment that I don't care about getting damaged by saltwater.  Spend more money on a superior product such as the Abu Garcia Revo STX.  You will not regret it.

Comments:I love that reel! I own other high tech reels of great brands like Shimano and Daiwa or Abu, but if I need a work horse reel with a smooth retrieve and really good casting performance, I'll chose my Pflueger Trion. It's strong and reliable, and because of that, it's a bit heavier than the other reels I got.
