Comments: 6'9 Light and 1000 shimano sedona + 6lb pline fluroclear. Fishes very well, even jigs at 1/16th ounce. This rod is pretty balanced in terms of protecting your line and having decent backbone for setting the hook. Should handle most bass pretty well. I use this rod for throwing small jigs in creeks.

Comments: I have a 7'4" medium (not available at tackle warehouse) and a 7'2" light. All of my rods are Phenix because these rods are strong durable reliable and light. I would not consider buying anything more expensive until you've held one of the M1 rods in your hand. I have the light paired to a Quantum SmokePT 30 and a Quantum EnergyPT 30 on the medium.

Comments: I own over 30 rods and this rod gets the most time on the water. I've had the 7'2" M/XF for over a year and use it primarily for dropshotting. Light, sensitive, and strong as a bull (the Phenix rep who convinced me to buy the rod at the time said they tested it with 20 or 25 lb weights). It's showing some signs of wear so I recently bought a 7'8" M/XF. if I could only pick one rod, the M1 would be it.

Comments: This M1 feels awesome. Sad to say that it makes my Dobyns Champion looks like an overpriced rod.

Comments: Phenix M1 Spinning Rod 6'9" Light.  This is a great rod for drop shots. I've used it on three different trips and never wanted to put it down..  I love my Falcon rods but would say the Phenix rods are pretty equal IMO ..

Comments: This rod is exactly what I expected it to be and paired with an Okuma Rtx it is the lightest combo I have. Definitely worth trying one out.

Comments: I got the 7'2'' medium paired with the shimano stradic 2500 ci4. I love it! it reminds me of the ultra mbx a lot. Don't hesitate about getting one of these bad boys and just buy it!

Comments: I've got the 6'9" light paired with a quantum smoke 25 reel for dropshotting, and the 7'2" medium paired with a quantum energy 30 reel for shakey heads.  Both setups feel great in my hand.  These rods are light as a feather, and the grips are very comfortable.  I like to keep at least a finger or two on the blank itself for sensitivity.  I've got large hands, so i'm easily able to do this without much repositioning of my hand after the cast.  Someone with smaller hands may not be able to do this.  I'm psyched to really put these to use when the weather clears up for good.  I've recently forced myself down to 3 brands of rods, and phenix was easily my first choice followed by dobyns and kistler.  Great quality rods!
