If the bass are finicky, temperatures are down, or the water is clear, spinning gear and finesse tactics are often the way to go. But when your line is light and the fish are big, an ordinary spinning reel just won’t do. That's where the tournament class performance of the Pinnacle Performa XT Spinning Reel comes in.

Offering superior smoothness thanks to seven double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings, it also delivers outstanding castability thanks to its precision-machined ported spool. The reel's lightweight ADC-12 Aluminum Alloy body and rotor form a rigid base of operations, and its FatWire Bail, balanced rotor and ResistTwist Line Roller offer excellent line management. Offering the consistent pressure that wears fish out but won't snap your light lines, the Performa XT's Waterproof Multi-Stack Drag won’t let you down under pressure. Offering tournament class performance, the Pinnacle Performa XT Spinning Reel is unbeatable for drop-shotting, shaky heads and all your finesse applications.

Additional Features:

-Unlimited anti-reverse
-QuickFold handle with FinGrip
-Backed by Limited One-Year Warranty

"With the Performa XT Spinning Reel, I can cast smaller finesse lures long distances - even into the wind. It's an all-around smooth performer, too. The drag is so precise and consistent, I feel confident challenging big fish on lighter line." - Dave Wolak, BASS Elite Series Angler.

Customer Reviews

Comments: I have been able to fish with my buddies Performa XT 30 spinning reel side by side with my Stella 2500FD for quite some time now. Like others have mentioned.  This is a great reel. Despite the collapsible handle, there was hardly any play in the handle.  The drag was ultra smooth and featured the usual micro fine clicking adjustments.  The handle knob was very comfortable to me.  Unlike adding your own reel grip and having it slip when winding under load, the built in reel grip ribs stayed in place since it's part of the knob.  The only fault this reel has is it's weight.  If Pinnacle were to come out with a smaller version and shave about an ounce and a half off of it I'm sure it would have no problems competing in the $119.99-$139.99 price segment.  As it sits with current price to performance. This reel offers a tremendous value and I highly recommend it.

Comments: I've used the 4000 for more than a year and whether I'm smallie fishing for fun or involved in a tournament where spinning gear is preferred; this reel is in my hand most often.  My 2500 and 3000 Shimano Saros are in the boat, but not first on the firing line. That's my primary comparison and for $50 less than a Saros, the Performa XT is an easy choice.

Comments: A great reel I purchased this reel about 1 year ago, during that time I've used this reel to catch everything from pike and walleye in Canada to bass, bluegill and catfish in Texas. The reel is smooth and solid, the drag if flawless. I paired the reel with a 7' quantum med. action rod and have had zero issues, with 8lb fluro you can cast a mile and effectively play any fish in open water.

Comments: Just received my new spinning combo from TW, and boy am I more than THRILLED with it.  I live it Connecticut, so I was unable to hold the rod and reel before buying it.  TW employee Sean put me on hold and went down to the warehouse to get a feel for the setup.  Great customer service, and an even better reel.  The drag on this reel is as good as many of the higher end reels I've used in the past.  AWESOME feature is the collapsible handle...and the soft plastic knobs are things thats dreams are made of.  This reel could have been priced a hundred dollars higher and I'd still buy it.  Take my word for it: this is a reel that deserves your hard-earned money.
