Powell Inferno Casting Rods - $129.99
Delivering blistering hot performance at a cool, down-to-earth price, the Inferno Casting Rods are crafted from a 36-ton version of Powell’s legendary Maxumfiber material combined with Powell’s new, advanced Mini Matrix technology. The Mini Matrix technology utilizes tube-shaped carbon molecules 50,000 times smaller than a human hair. The carbon molecules are then held together using a coagulated resin, not an inferior powder. The result is a totally smooth finish with all inconsistencies eliminated for incredible strength, impressive sensitivity and smooth, crisp actions. Also equipped with premium mid-micro stainless steel guides for increased durability and casting performance, high-grade cork split grip handles deliver all day comfort and balance out each rod perfectly. Fishing is sure to heat up with the Powell Inferno Casting Rods.

Comments: this rod is awesome I have the 7ft mh and I can sling baits out there along with really good flipping and pitching perfect tip for all around hook sets with enough back bone to pull a 7lb hog out of the muc I paired it with a Daiwa tatula and I will never buy anything but Powell I'm hooked on Powell no pun intended max and insurance are coming next

Comments: I got the 7'6" Med Hvy when this line of rods first same out. All I can say is that it is amazing. I have caught so many bass down here in Fl on kissimme and toho and poga and never had a problem. It is perfect for frogs and skinny dippers. Super light, super sensitive, and super strong!

Comments: I just bought the Inferno 765 and paired it with a Revo SX gen 3. I love this rod so far! I've only thrown D&Ms double hammer buzzbait and their single prop buzzbait but it handles them very well. I also plan on using it for small to medium swimbaits and large topwater baits. It is crazy light and casts a mile, really is a great rod, especially for the price.

Comments: I just purchased three Inferno rods to go with my Max, Endurance, and Diesel rods. I use Powell rods almost exclusively now. The first thing I noticed about the new Inferno rods is that on all three of the rods I bought, some of the guides are obviously crooked. On closer inspection, the rest of the Rod appeared high end. Like most Powell rods, they were light, sensitive, and still maintained a lot of backbone. The Inferno line are really good rods and a good price; however, I'd have to say that the Max and Endurance line are cosmetically better and perform slightly above the Inferno rods. If Powell makes some minor adjustments to the guide problem, these rods would become a favorite.

Comments: Great rod for Texas rigging, frogs and flipping. All around this rod is perfect for any job. Plus its extremely light and sensitive and still has a good amount of backbone.
From: Jack: Florida
Comments: 765CEF perfect balance of tip and backbone, it is a perfect frog and flipping rod for jigs. you could also use this for big crankbaits and smaller sized swimbaits. Make sure you pair it with a ligh reel i put a bb1 pro on it and its the lightest combo i have used. Powell will be the only company i will buy from for ever once u go powell u cant go back!!!!
Comments: Just bought an Inferno 765C SBR, and I already had a Max 765 SBR. I have to say, the Inferno looks better than the Max! 11 grams less, longer handle for heavy lures. I love this rod ! Action is faster than the Max series.
Comments: I bought a 7'6" for fisng with shinners and put a 7 inch shinner on it I pulled in a 8 pounder It held up greatly I have also caught many other fish on it held up great. I would recommend it with a lews bb1 tournament reel or a heavy duty lews reel.

Comments: just bought a 7ft medheavy and its super light. haven't thrown it yet but it seems very sensitive and im really excited.
From: Tucker: Fayetteville, GA USA
Comments: Just bought a 7ft MH and feels great!it can throw a variety of lures and the rod weighs under 4 ounces, I can wait until I start fishing tournement with this rod!
From: Tucker: GA
Comments: got my inferno in the mail today, thought it would be stiffer for a heavy action rod, feels almost exactly the same as my med hvy veritas, if your looking for a stiffer rod go for the 7 6 modelbut still have to say this is the best rod i have ever held, its extremely light and sensative
Comments: This rod is amazing. I bought the 734 and love it. I use it for skipping jigs and small weedless huddlestons under docks and in weeds. Has the perfect tip and backbone enough to drive the hook into the roof of the mouth every time. Also it looks absolutely sick!!!!
From: Jack: MN
Comments: Just bought a 7 6 med hvy and it's sick it's not so stiff that you can't throw 3/8 oz jigs but it insnt too flimsy. Awesome rod Powell keep it up
