Exclusively available at Tackle Warehouse, the Powell Max Paddle Tail Casting Rod was created with the help of Bassmaster Elite Series Pro and TW Pro Staffer, Jared Lintner. A productive application on the Elite tour, especially in recent years, paddle tails have accounted for some big bass and major victories. Even outside of the tour, paddle tails are a great tactic for attracting not just big bites, but also numbers of quality fish. While other rods can do the trick, Lintner found that most of them were either too heavy or too light to fish paddle tails effectively. With this in mind, Powell Rods and Lintner set out to create a rod with all the best attributes for fishing paddle tails.
The rod’s mid section is designed to load up quickly, allowing for solid hooksets and enough power to get fish out of thick structure, but what really sets the Powell Max Paddle Tail Rod apart, is the tip section. Painstakingly tested and refined, it’s fast, but at the same time, soft enough to make pin-point casts to isolated targets. Also equipped with premium components, including durable Fuji Alconite Guides at Concept Spacing, as well as, a super sensitive Maxim Fiber blank and a premium Fuji Reel Seat, the Powell Max Paddle Tail Rod is perfect for fishing any brand of weedless swimbait up to 6-inches long - in and around all types of grass, wood and docks.
