Over the years, spinnerbaits have accounted for substantial winnings on both professional bass fishing tours. And while many Spinnerbait rods will suffice, until now there hasn't been a fishing rod dedicated to the technique that is equipped with all of the characteristics needed to fish spinnerbaits at their full potential.
Dialed in with the ideal length, taper, and power for the task, the Powell Max Composite Spinnerbait Rod features a specialized glass-composite blank construction that delivers all the properties of graphite, including reduced weight and heightened sensitivity, mixed with forgiving S-Glass to make it one of the best all around blade rods ever made.
The Powell Max Composite Spinnerbait Rod also benefits from Powell's new MaxumFiber blank technology. The new material allowed Powell's rod design team to utilize less material in the overall rod design, greatly decreasing rod weight, while increasing sensitivity and durability. The combination of this material and Powell's technique-specific design tapers allows for a smoother transition in overall rod performance, while keeping you more connected to what's happening with your spinnerbait.

Comments: Great Rod, just like all the other Powell Rods. Received mine on Friday, took it out on Saturday, Lucky for me the wind was blowing and the spinnerbait bite was on. In my opinion this is the perfect spinnerbait rod. ItÕs light and balanced well with my reel, it cast like a dream and is very accurate, which got better as the day went on. You can really feel the blades even when they stall. I caught some nice Smallmouth with it including a 3.5 pounder, I donÕt know what was up but they were even more feisty than usual, which made for a lot of fun fighting them. The rod was flawless and I didnÕt lose one fish. The reel seat is shorter than other Powell Rods but I still got full treads on the tightening nut, so I am ok with that, it just threw me off at first. I definitely recommend this rod and could see other uses for this rod besides spinnerbaits, such as buzzbaits and other moving baits.
