Delivering technique-specific precision that only 100 years of rod development experience and expertise can provide, the Powell Max Wacky Rig Spinning Rod is exclusively available at Tackle Warehouse. BASS Elite Series pro, Jared Lintner, spent an extensive amount of time field-testing and helping Powell fine tune the rod as well, finally honing in on the ideal length, taper, and power for perfect wacky rig presentations and a much better bite-to-catch ratio.
New MaxumFiber blank technology also allowed Powell's rod design team to utilize less material in the overall rod design, greatly reducing rod weight, while increasing sensitivity and durability. The combination of this material and Powell's technique-specific design tapers keeps you more connected to what's happening with your rig, so you are always in full control of your bait. A premium Fuji Reel Seat also provides direct access to the rod blank and a solid reel base, while super-hard Fuji Alconite Guides at Concept Spacing help reduce friction, increase casting distance and maintain optimum rod curvature. The Powell Max Wacky Rig Spinning Rod - redefining technique specific performance with the Feel, Control and Power that only Powell Rods can deliver.

Comments: It is tough to buy a rod online, but handle length size description fitted my needs perfectly. Needed a rod under 7 feet to fit in my rod locker with a smaller butt and some meat to drive hooks home. Alot of guys are fans of this co, and now I know why.

Comments: I use the rod for wacky rigging Senko's while fishing the grass beds on the Potomac primarily. It has the right balance for casting the worm a long distance or pitching it to grass clumps. It is strong enough to pull fish out of the grass clumps and get them heading to the boat and sensitve enough to feel light bites.

Comments: This is possibly the only spinning rod you will ever need. Pair it with a sustain 3G. The rod has awesome power, weight, balance and sensitivity.

Comments: I bought this rod a couple of weeks ago for Wacky Rigging Senkos. I fish smallmouth bass on Georgian Bay, and needed a 3 power spinning rod to handle some of the big boys. I've been using a Loomis 722 gl3 and an 842 gl3 for those duties for the last decade. Over the last 3 days I've caught 25 bass, with 11 of those being 4 lbs+, 7 more at 3lbs or better. The Powell 6103-MEF is a very powerful rod. Not once did I ever feel that I wasn't in complete control. This is a great rod. Get one.
