Comments: Been fishing these for 20 years for bass and pike. I fish at least 15 different types of jerkbaits, including all your good JDM baits, but this fits the cold water/shallow running niche for me. I keep it simple. Line size and hooks will get you the depth and pausing action you want. If you are a bank fisherman, you need to have this in your arsenal for ice-out, early pre-spawn and late fall........I'm guessing winter too in the south. Throw on heavier hooks for improved casting and suspending/sinking preference. I exclusively throw on 12-15 # copolymer as I'm usually in bank fishing situations suspending this 2-3 feet down above grass flats or walking a few different pike infested rivers and pitching the husky in eddies. Yeah, there's a lot of good cold water jerkbaits, but it's hard to find a jerkbait that can run this shallow, with a good silent cold water sluggish action.

Comments: Love this bait. The 14 size in blue silver has produced many 5lb.+ largemouth over the years in late fall. 14lb flourocarbon, long casts. Reel down, pause, wait. WHAM!!!!

From: Unknown: 8/21/21

Comments: This is one great lure for smallmouth. Even though it doesn't suspend they still hammer it. Great jerk bait for the price

From: Unknown: 8/3/21

Comments: Floats. It says neutral bouyant and suspends, but mine floats. I guess I'll have to try changing out hooks to heavier or putting on weight strips/dots... but advertised as suspending which is extra important now in the cold water. I'm disappointed to say the least.

From: Daniel: Burlington 11/18/20

Comments: The J14 catches cold water big bass. Fish it slow. Let it sit. Hang on.

From: Unknown 11/11/20

Comments: Size 12 Pink Clown; excellent bait. Find myself trolling weed lines for loads of Pike/Bass action. Even had a 22" Laker come up from 60' water to grab it. Middle treble hook did break to my surprise on one of my first outings. Most likely will replace all with Gamakatsu.

From: Unknown: Minneapolis, MN 7/22/19

Comments:Great lures, use perch and shad 10 and 12, scoops fall off and can't purchase replacements. Large bass ,pike, walleye and perch

From: Bob:East Haddam1/24/19

Comments:$6.00 is a total steal for this bait. HJ12 catches lots of fish, and big fish. While bass fishing I always end up with lots of 20-30" pike hooking up too, and the HJ stands up to their teeth great. Jerk, jerk, pause of varying lengths and watch your line. Most hits occur on, or right after the pause. Works great on steady retrieve too.Everyone I've bought has suspended well out of the box too. Lots of great colors to choose from.

From: Monty:Illinois6/17/18

Comments:Great price, action, and colors. These guys catch fish. They suspend well right out of the package and run true. I have 12 of them from 3 1/8" to the 5 1/2" and they all work great. My favorite size is the HJ12 though. They are all pretty battle scared and have had hooks replaced but still catch tons of fish. While bass fishing I catch plenty of pike too and an occasional walleye. Can't beat it.

From:Monty: Illinois 6/9/18

Comments:HJ08 and HJ12. I use the HJ08 3" bait with 6-8lb line in small lakes with 2-5 second pauses and man does it catch fish. Smallmouth love this bait.I love the hits on the pause. HJ12 and 14 are used in bigger lakes. Kills the big bass. I caught a few 5-6 pounders on the pause and lots of 3 pounders too. Excellent at catching pike too. Fun to fish with, and a killer price too! Favorite colors are the green ghost in the HJ08 and perch and blue/chrome on the bigger baits.

From: Monty:6/3/18

Comments:It's a good lure, although it's castability is somewhat lacking. Doesn't have the wild, ripping darting action of some jerkbaits, and thus is a good finesse option.

From: Tyler:Grand Junction, CO3/24/18

Comments: Works great on a straight retrieve and when jerking. The hooks are very sharpe and very durable. Every bass I've caught with this was no issue boat flipping/ bank flipping.

From: Harry: Suffolk,VA 11/20/17

Comments:Great jerkbait. Holds up to trophy pike, walleye, and bass like a champ. They will definitely always have a spot in my box when i head to the lake. Very versital and a great multispecies bait. Suspends very well normally. If yours floats or sinks just swap hook sizes instead of suspend dots or strips. Wished Tackle Warehouse carried the size 14 line up and the colors pink tiger & green tiger. They do tend to tumble and roll when your making a nice long cast but dont let that sway you away from this bait.

From: Jack - Michigan 11/20/17

Comments:Great Jerkbait, I use the Perch in NC . from November to March. 3 to 10 second pause ,My only other Jerbait I use is the KVD 300 in perch if water is real clear .

From:MAtt: NC 11/17/17

Comments:Caught an 8 pound Atlantic Salmon last night trolling a #10 Olive Ghost H.J. Good smelt imitation for the local waters. Ghost minnow, Silver and Tennessee Shad colors also producing. Baits are holding up very well. Red treble hooks seem to make a difference. Catching some Steelhead on these colors also. Go to bait for trolling. Walleyes prefer the Floating F11. Blue Silver, Black Silver are the "old reliable" baits for walleyes.

From: Steve McLeod 8/6/17

Comments:Phenomenal! Jerk bait and for 6 dollars it's a really good price first time i got it, it was in baby bass color and in the first day of use i caught a 2 1/2 pound lmb and after that day I caught 3 bass and missed 2. In conclusion for the money you can't beat it

From: George: Illinois 6/14/17

Comments:it might be one time thing but i rarely threw this jerk bait and on about my 4th time ever using it the lip had broken on and i know i didn't break it off on structure because i was fishing a clean lake with little to no structure not to mention the depth it would have to dive. but thats really it if you want it for a temporary lure this is the way to go just very cheap lips that break easy

From: Unknown 3/18/17

Comments:Great jerk bait honestly only problem I've seen and it's not a major one is paint chips easy. Caught 1 fish and used maybe 3 times and it's starting to kinda come off

From: Tanner: 1/9/17

Comments:I've been throwing the Husky Jerk in the Olive Ghost color for a couple days now & man does it drive the bass here crazy. This is my first time using jerkbait & I'm glad I tried something new. I highly recommend this jerkbait. And I've always had luck on Rapala products, so I'm honestly not surprised it produced. Great action & good price.

From: Cory: Bonham, TX 6/21/16

Comments:Lots of walleye & bass on these baits! Walleye just opened & this bait has been hammering them! Cold water nice slow steady real with a twitch every three cranks brings them bass & walleye in hard.

From: Austin: MI 5/3/16

Comments:This jerk bait made me change my mind about jerk bait. I use to hate them & I remember i was given big thing of them and now i am regretting throwing them away. I personally prefer this bait over my livetarget baitball. the husky jerk works amazing when you jerk it on very loose. I've caught crappie, bass, bluegills, catfish & a pike off o this amazing lure. KEEP YOUR LINE TIGHT

From: Chris: USA 3/17/16

Comments:I love this lure! They have awesome action and are worth the money compared to Megabass baits! One of my favorite, old fashioned jerkbaits of all time!

From: Rapala Girl: USA 6/23/15

Comments:In creeks it's amazing for small mouth, rock bass, and you can catch some large mouth bass

From: Jacob: Buffalo, NY 6/8/15

Comments:The husky jerk is a phenomenal bait in all different conditions and as well as water temperatures. I've used this bait a lot and the first weekend i took it out on the water i managed to catch 8 bass in roughly 5 hours on this bait, and what blew my mind is that they fish were highly inactive considering the water was about 45 degrees but i still managed to hammer them! Overall great bait for the price, i would give this a 4.5/5 stars, there are some better jerkbaits if you're willing to spend the extra couple dollars.

From: Zach: Canton, MI 5/30/15

Comments:I used this lure to catch bluegill and it did not work. I worked it and jerked it but I caught nothing. As I was going out for one of my last casts before I was going to quit I caught the lochness bass. I then realized this lure is made of magical substances

From: Jeff: Plainfield, IL 3/31/15

Comments:I crush it with these jerkbaits right after ice out. They're not the best jerkbaits but for the money you cant beat em. The HJ12 casts way better than the smithwicks imo

From: Jordan: RI 2/16/15

Comments:Great lure for all times of the year! Caught bass around many types of cover with this lure in TN shad and silver. Great on Lake Lanier!!

From: Randall: Gainesville, GA

Comments:solid lure for the price! i got a Bass on the Glass Minnow pattern today. with a little bit of tweaking to this lure by putting an extra O-ring or two, it should suspend even better. overall, you cant beat the price. for the solid quality of the lure!

From: John: NJ

Comments: Great lure in all seasons! Fish it slow in cold water and fast in summer. I caught the biggest fish on this lure in late spring.

From: Marco: Portugal

Comments: From crappie to largemouth, in the spring, I can fish out anything with this lure. Great action and very good if you want to fish slow.

From: Connor: Holbrook, NY

Comments:this lure is great. i have landed many 3lbs+ largemouth on this lure on the perch color i lost it in a snag in the bottom of the water in a dead tree but this lure is definitly worth it get one

From: Matt: Naperville, IL

Comments:I have a couple of this baits, its good fishing, also i played it a ot off rapala fishing for PS3 in winter time, Good fishing folks and get out on water more!! God bless forever!
