Overview
Featuring a custom clacker for maximum knocking sound, the Santone Lures Lake Fork Clacker Braid Buzzbait is the first buzzbait designed specifically for use with braided fishing line. It features some key upgrades that allow it to stand up to braided line, including extremely durable .060 Musky-size wire and a super strong Gamakatsu Siwash hook. Santone Lures and lure designer, Brian Branum, also curved the .060 wire to provide improved tracking and allow the bait to ride lower in the water for better hook ups - all while still remaining weedless.
Its screw lock style bait keeper keeps your trailers firmly secure, and the overall design of the bait also allows you to use nearly any plastic as a trailer without compromising the tracking or performance of the bait. Available in a range of proven colors, the Santone Lures Lake Fork Clacker Braid Buzzbait is a big-time buzzbait designed to handle big fish and braided lines.
*Santone Lures specifically designed this buzzbait to be fished on braided line with a minimum 7.1:1 gear ratio reel.

Comments: No one, and I mean no one, has built a clacking buzzbait like this before! Extra loud clacker, extra strong wire frame, and extra strong Gamakatsu hook, round out a perfect design fishermen demand. Worthy of catching trophy largemouth bass, time and time again. I enjoy another quality product made by Santone Lures.

Comments: This is a special buzzbait ! Heavy 80 pound braid or 20 - 25 pound monofilament is key. No lighter braid or fluorocarbon can be used because the sink rate. Runs true center and handles fast retrieves great. The heavy curved wire creates a cam action during a strike. This " cam action" turns the bait causing the hook to penetrate the fish's mouth. An extra stout wide gap Gamakatsu hook with a wire coil keeper tops out this superior design along with it's noisy clacker. Santone Lures has made the best buzzbait in the business today ! Tight Lines !

Comments: It's a phenomenal bait. The clacker is very loud haven't had any problems
Comments: I was really excited about this bait initially, but am very disappointed in the performance after a few trips. I bought 3 of them, took the skirts off two to use with a horny toad trailer. You have to crank this thing very fast to get the blade to displace water. I like to be able to creep my buzzbaits around isolated targets and you can't do that with this bait.
I used one for throwing through lilly pad stems and heavy grass and caught a few fish on it but the arm bent out and no matter how I tried to bend it back it was really difficult to get the bait back on plane.
Unless you need a buzzbait to reel 100 mph, I wouldn't suggest this bait.

Comments: First impression is this thing is awesome. Threw this on a concept a 8:1 & couldn't get it to come up to top to buzz until 25 feet from boat. Also it swam big time to the left. Made some adjustments and got it to swim straight but really have to start turning reel before it hits the water but I had to get it going more than normal. I'm 80% happy with it now. The hook is amazing and hooked several fish on braid and one 4 lber. I give it a 7.

Comments: The clacker is not so good at making noise. When it fall and hit the water is does not buzz right away. Strong bait pit together but the action is not to good.
