Comments: Bought two of these over Christmas time one in the 6:3:1 and one in the 7:2:1 gear ratio and man are they amazing. Super smooth, feels great in the hand, and beautiful color and accents. For $100 this reel beats any at it's price point. GREAT JOB SHIMANO!!!

From: Unknown 1/11/17

Comments: this reel is one of the best lower priced reel shimano has ever made. This reel is good spooled with power pro 30lb test or 15lb mono, and 20lb florocarbon. If I it came in a 5:5.1 this would be awsome but the 7 and 6 gear rasios are just fine. this reel feels and proves that it feels like a 300 dallor reel. the last thing go buy these reels you won't be disapointed in it.

From: Toxic Fishing: Newport, AR 1/4/17

Comments: This reel is awesome! For the price it is by far the best reel! I went out yesterday & was reeling in 5lbs hogs left & right in the rain with this beast & it performed well! I paired it up with a 13 Fishing Omen 6'7 MH rod with Spiderwire 20lbs Stealth Braid & was skipping docks like no other! Perfect reel for almost every situation!

Comments: Just picked up 2 of these reels, both in the 7.2. Have not put it to the test on the water as of yet. Just picked them up yesterday. So this isn't a performance review. Looks great, really like the frame. Small frame and easy to palm. Will use for pitching and top water. I like that it isn't a big spool, holds less line, which is perfect for what I will be using them for. Brake system is easy to use, needs larger handle though. So far impressed. Now lets see how it performs.

From: Vic: LA 5/28/16

Comments: I have five of them and I am very pleased! They are great reels, I haven't had any problems or issues with it.

From: Lawson: TN 5/27/16

Comments: I picked this reel up a couple of weeks ago, haven't been able to use it yet here in Minnesota as season's closed. So this will be more first impressions. I have it paired up with a St. Croix Mojo Bass 7'1" MH, spooled with 30lb braid. It balances really well on this rod, and is very smooth for a $100 reel. I can pitch a jig with very little effort. I have the older model Caenen also & they're very good reels for the price. Primary use for this will be chatter baits & swim jigs.

From: Trevor: Orono, MN 5/8/16

Comments: I bought 2 of these reels. 1 of each gear ratio, I am totally blown away by these reels. I've not  fished with shimano before. These reels are for real. Braking system is easy-to-use. These real cast a mile. For the money not bad at all
