Customer Reviews

Comments: This is a very good rod for the money.  Not as sensitive as the Crucial but still very sensitive for a rod in this price range.  It is also a very durable rod.  I've had mine for nearly a year and never had an issue.  I have the 6'8" worm and jig rod paired with a Curado and use it mostly for texas rigged creature baits.  I have lighter rods but one can fish this rod all day with no problems at all.  Very good rod!

Comments: Great rod over all although mine says worm and jig rod I never limited my techniques with this rod it works for darn near anything. My favorite is throwing 3in big hammers in the bay and for largemouth as well. I even use this for fly lining for catfish. So I highly recommend this rod!!

Comments: can't beat this rod in this price range. I purchased the 6'8" med hvy and paired it with a Lews speed spool.the rod is super light and takes a beating. I handle a lot of rods and this one just feels right. This rod horses bass with ease. 5 stars.

From: Bassdale: NJ

Comments: Excellent rod. The Med Heavy has been fantastic the rod is a tad on the tip heavy side whereas the Compre didn't feel "tip heavy". I choose the Clarus and the "action" is on par with the majority of Med Heavy rods that I have to include a Dobyns Champ and Falcon Cara T7. The rod is not as light as the other two but will add another true Med Heavy to your arsenal. Much better construction than many other rods in this price range. If I was stuck with this one rod I could still take care of business with no hesitation. It may not be "as sensitive" as other rods "however" if you can't feel a Bass bite, pull or strike a lure you will have problems with any rod that you buy. Great rod! Shimano! Paired with a Citica G and pulled the bearings and removed the seals. Sprayed the bearings with brake cleaner to flush them and I'm casting into the woods with ease. The extra 2" on this 7'2" rod are a factor in adding that little more much wanted distance. I hate to walk a pond and this has been a rock solid answer. Clarus 7'2" Med Hvy / Fast

Comments: great rod got the 7'2" and is very light and cant beat the price

From: Spencer: AZ

Comments: The 7'2 Heavy is a good rod for Carolina rigs and big worms n jigs deep, but is VERY tip heavy and heavy in general. I returned mine and got an Irod.

From: Sam: USA

Comments: Great rod, they're just so tip heavy. Maybe it's just me, I dunno. I like the older cork grip Clarus' more.

From: Steve: Sylmar, CA

Comments: Just got the 6'8" mh/f delivered and Im impressed. Very lightweight and sensitive with plenty of backbone. As good as many of the rods I own at half the price.

From: Ben: Orangeburg, SC

Comments: For the price these rods can't be beat! The sensitivity is awesome and they feel great in the hand. The warranty simply can't be beat either. I must admit though, I liked the older cork handles more, but beggars can't be choosers! I've been fishing the same Clarus for close to 2 years and have had no issues.

Comments: haven't caught a fish on it but feels like a nice rod. My fault I snapped the tip off testing it's flexibility. Oops. Sent it back and should be getting a new one soon

From: Blake: CA Delta

From: Brad: Camp Pendelton, CA

Comments: love, love, love this rod so much! it fits any anglers budget and is really nice , i have a 7'2 m/fast rod paired with the 200e citica and ive caught bass from half an ounce to 9 lb'ers! these rods are super sensitive and let you feel the lightest bites its amazing ! go ahead and buy one you wont regret it .

From: Ricky: Orange, CA

Comments: These clarus rods are every bit as nice as my cumaras.  I bought two as additional jig rods.  7'2"MHXF, and the 7'2"HF.  They are awesome.  As I said with my cumaras, you can feel a fish sneeze on your bait with the clarus rod.  And the warranty is unbeatable.  Well worth the money. I can't say enough about them.

From: Joe: Madisonville, KY
