A newly designed custom Shimano Reel Seat also provides a solid base for your reel and direct access to rod blank. The reel seat also tightens from below the reel for a sleek, new threadless look. Perfectly balanced with a split grip handle and comfortable EVA grips as well, the Shimano Clarus Flipping Rods are also telescopic so the fit into most rod lockers.

Comments: I didn't buy this rod. I was about to buy one due to it's new look, telescopic design, and it's IM8 blank, but I chose to go to my local tackle store to hold it first. I held the 7'7" and the tip is too heavy and too soft for my cup of tea. I will save up for a Dobyns.
