Customer Reviews

Comments: love my crucial for cranking. medium power with a medium fast action perfect for crankin! Definitely would buy this rod again.

Comments: I bought a 7' MH Crucial in 2005, and I'm still flipping with the rod twelve years strong. Light as a feather, extremely sensitive, and strong enough to handle about any heavy cover I fish. The Crucial series are some of the best rods Shimano ever produced. I know G. Loomis makes an exceptional rod, but I saved 2-3 hundred bucks buying my Crucial, and I've never thought a comparable G. Loomis would have boated more fish.

Comments: 6'8" MH  just got one of these from shimano as a warranty replacement for a Crucial 'reaction top water' unfortunately the action of this line is very stiff for my purposes with this rod. I'm not impressed at all, this rod would probably be nice for use with bass jigs or a Texas rig ex. But not at all the kind of action I would prefer for a top water lure or jerkbait. Bring back the reaction series shimano!
