Comments: Well I had high hopes for this rod "but" the 7'7" med/hvy fast has some big goofy guides and does not balance with light reels at all. The rod is no were near as light as I thought it would be. I do love the grip but that's about it.

Comments:i have 2 crucials, the 7'7 mh x-fast & 7'11 extra heavy. The 7'7 mh x-fast is light and a all around good rod for light to moderate cover. The 7'11 extra heavy is a BEAST! Punching up to 2 oz. & throwing umbrella rigs. Both are serious heavy cover rods. The extra heavy 7'11 is tip heavy a bit, but balanced out with punching weights and a-rigs. GREAT RODS!

Comments: I have the 7'11" heavy it is a little tip heavy but for the most part is light. Originally I had bought the 7'11" extra heavy punching rod and that rod is extremely tip heavy and just is uncomfortable to fish with. I put my heavy extra fast tip rod on my new chronarch with 65# braid and you Can flip hogs out of fairly heavy cover on to your boat with ease. I would not suggest getting the punching rod unless you want to put 3 pounds of weights on the bottom of the rod.

Comments: Wasn't very impressed with the 7'11" punching model of this rod when i tried it. Found it to be very tip heavy, but sensitivity was okay.

Comments: I've had the rod since it first came out a few months ago. It's my first higher end rod and I absolutely love it! The 7'7 MH feels more like a medium but the backbone is awesome! I have used this rod to launch larger swim baits as well and it works well
Comments: Got my hands on a 7'7 MH/Extra Fast last week. Wow, this thing is a STICK! Great sensitivity and super lightweight, it feels almost like a medium until you have to manhandle a grump off a barnacle covered piling or out from under a dock. It's definitely not lacking any backbone and helped me put the steel to some hefty spotted bay bass over the weekend. Plus the new up-locking reel seats are slick; paired with the new Chronarch this thing is a joy to hold. All for under $200 shipped... How could I say no? Ps- I miss the cork handles too but these new foam grips are pretty sweet, they seem pretty quality but we'll see how they handle the salt over time.

Comments: Got this new rod, it's much lighter than the old one. My forearm don't hurt after a day's pitching and flipping! Basically this is your new Cumara!

Comments: Absolutely awesome rod. i've never owned a crucial but have used friend's rods and finally purchased a 7'7 mh for flipping. the new reel seat feels good and the new design will not let you down.
