Fishing swimbaits requires a particular type of rod, and the Shimano Crucial Swimbait Casting Rods feature a range of models designed for fishing everything from small paddle tails to large jointed baits. The new Crucials’ C4S-HM graphite blanks are significantly stronger and more powerful than previous generation blanks, providing serious hook setting power and fish fighting capabilities. They are also 28% lighter thanks to a proprietary process, which utilizes vertical and horizontal layers of graphite running the length of the blank and sandwiched between to layers of advanced carbon tape.

Premium Fuji Alconite Guides at Concept Spacing maximize the performance of each blank, and also provide the durability to withstand heavy torqueing and repeated casts. Custom Shimano reel seats provide a lightweight, ergonomic base for your reel, and Grade A cork handles deliver comfort that will last all day. Perfect for a range of swimbaits, the Shimano Crucial Swimbait Casting Rods are lighter, stronger and more sensitive than ever before.

Customer Reviews

Comments: By far the best crucial rod i have ever used not tip heavy at all & is lighter than the cumura flip rod. Used this rod to flip punch and throw swimbaits & thou action was a little soft to punch with still never lost a fish in the mats. This rod has been dropped & even was only rod not to break when a battery slid across them in back of truck so i dont know why people say the new crucial are not durible one of the rods that broke was the old reaction series crucial. Def rec to get and try these rods

Comments: Broke one of these a few inches down from the tip. I was nervous about claiming a warranty because I had heard so many bad reviews about Shimano's customer service. I mailed in the broken rod with the receipt & warranty form. I did not have to call or e-mail Shimano. Two weeks later I had a new replacement rod. No trouble whatsoever. This is a great rod, dont be scared of Shimano's new warranty program
