7' MH fast action is amazingI have owned the 7' MH fast action rod for several years now, I paid $650 I think when they first came out, and they're amazing rods. Has by far the best reel seat of any reel, I've ever owned, and I've owned tons of rods from different brands. The Conquest line up is all MBR actions, which is a fast action rod, but with a moderate tip section before it hits backbone, which makes it a very universal rod. It's not going to be as sensitive as an NRX+ rod as those are extra fast actions. These rods however are still very sensitive, and have a lot more backbone to them, and actually help land the fish you hook into because of that moderate tip section the MBR is known for. The 7' MH Fast action rod is probably the best all around Texas rig, vibrating jig, small swim bait rod you will ever own. If money was no object, I'd have a full line up of these rods, as they're so damn comfortable, universal, powerful, and sensitive, nothing out there comes close. It's sad how much they cost now, but I guess they had to raise prices once the new NRX+ hit the market, as the only thing they have going for them is the extra fast actions and sensitivity.

Comments: Been a Loomis guy for 27 years now and have used literally all of the MBR and JWR rods from GL3, E6X, IMX, GLX, and NRX... but I am not very impressed with the Conquest coming from the NRX line. LOVE the "Fast" actions but they are definitely, 100% no where near as sensitive as the NRX Gen 1 rods and obviously not even close to NRX+. With that said, these are more versatile rods and would be a great fit for moving baits or spooling up some heavy braid and flipping mats but if you are dragging anything or trying to feel every little subtlety I would stick to NRX+.

Comments: I have the 7' 6" Extra Heavy for fishing in Okeechobee and South Florida. I have other high end rods and this is the King of the Mountain in terms of all aspects. If you got some extra cash burning a hole in your pocket and you want the top of the line then buy this rod. You will not be disappointed.

From: Michael: Homestead, FL 11/28/21

Comments: This is better than a NRX, it combines the overall amazing quality and feeling of the NRX with a feeling of stability where you set the hook at the rod doesn't feel like it will shatter

From: Drew: Farmington Hills, MI 5/11/21

Comments: I have the 903 and it's the best rod I have ever used hands down. The power of this rod makes you feel confident with every hook set. I have thrown spinner baits, chatter baits, Swimbait, senkos and it does it all with ease

From: Juan: 6/19/20

Comments: Picked up a 903C MBR and I firmly believe this is one of the best all around sticks on the planet. The finish on this rod is so clean and clear. Balance is absolutely incredible for a 7'6 rod and unbelievably, the 903 (4.1 oz) is actually lighter than my destroyer addermine. (4.3oz) Casting is incredibly smooth, very quiet, and accurate. The sensitivity is just something you have to experience and the power these rods have is absolutely insane. My only complaint is the cork, the cork isn't the best and a small crack has already formed in it. I don't really care about stuff like that but I know some people do. I managed to find my conquest for way less than retail so I could not be more pleased with my purchase. These are the best rods on the planet hands down.

From: Andrew: Massachusettes 3/12/20

Comments: I purchased a 7'6 903 MBR and was very impressed with both the quality and sensitivity of the rod. Had planned on purchasing a 904 MBR until I saw the price increase. My 903 was $650.00 which was bad enough but $720.00 is way to expensive to pay for a fishing rod. Seems the powers to be are getting a little greedy and pricing themselves out of the market.

From: Michael: Leawood, KS 3/9/20

Comments: Last year I purchased the Conquest 743 C MBR and it is the absolute best fishing rod I have ever used. The sensitivity of this rod is comparable to an NRX but the way the Conquest handles blows the NRX away. I was suspect at first because the rod was so light but the amount of power this stick has is amazing. On one of my 1st trips out with it I used this rod to pitch gnarly laydowns and I was blown away by how easy I was able to pull 3-5 lb bass through the thick stuff. Yes, I know that this is not its designed application, but I wanted to put it through it's paces and the Conquest did not disappoint. I have used this rod for everything from power fishing heavy cover, to chunking and winding spinnerbaits and bladed jigs, to fishing Texas rigs on ledges to slow fishing deep jerkbaits in cold water and it has performed as well as any rod could with each application. This thing is the Swiss Army knife of the fishing world and I will be switching my other high end Kistler and St. Croix rods out for more of these in the near future. It's expensive but it's worth every cent.

From: Jim: Kentucky 3/4/20

Comments: After reading some of the reviews below where the offered there opinion of a rod that they don't even fish or own I figured I'd put in my two cents. I purchased the 843C and this rod is absolutely amazing. It's lighter than my St. Croix Legend X, much more sensitive, and the power of the rod is something you need to experience. I have been a die hard St. Croix fan, but after using this rod I'm selling them all for the Conquest series. Yes they are expensive but they are worth every penny. Once you pick one up and take it to the water you'll know what I mean. You won't be disappointed trust me.

From: Joe O: Chicago, IL 2/16/20

Comments: This is my first Conquest, 904 MBR, and all I can say is WOW! I have several MegaBass Destroyers, and Shimano Exprides and absolutely love them, but when I compare them to the Conquest, it is not even close. The fit and finish is perfect, the smoothest best cork I have ever held. The sensitivity is better then either the Destroyer or Expride, which until now I thought was amazing. I have paired it with a 2018 Shimano Antares Monster Drive DC reel that I got from Japan and it balances about one inch in front of the reel and the combination cast will country mile. This will not be my last Conquest, I am just hoping that they will make a few more lengths and a true finesse rod that you could pair with an Aldebaran, for throwing weightless plastics.

From: John: Stanton, Tx  3/2/19

Comments: This rod came in with a lot of hype and it is very hard to top the nrx but they listened to customers and added some crucial changes like better guides, strength etc.. I do with they had some more models like a 7'1-7'3 Medium light. But never the less a good rod but I just can't see myself using just conquest rods as thy don't have enough models to cover all the necessary types of bass fishing so if you want to invest in a few some all around rods these would be a good choice. They are light, sensitive, all of the above but for the what I would say is this is a rod that you want not one you need there are rods half the price that preform flawlessly as well. It is very tough to say if they are worth it or not but I would say I depends on what type of fisherman you are.

From: Peter: Ontario, Canada  2/11/19

Comments: Having fished Loomis since early 90s, these rods are designed with the mag bass fast tapers.  The construction and components are high quality.  The guides are set on the spine, unlike some of my production NRX.  The taper is the classic mag bass, not the JWR faster action tips.  The sensitivity in my hands of 843 with Sniper 16 lb is very close to and perhaps equal to NRX.  It is not more sensitive in the 843 or 844 to me comparing to NRX 852, 843, or 873.  I do not have any 89x series to compare.  However, while the sensitivity is very close, the strength of the rods, the taper, the spiral wrap added strength, and the guides that are not recoil, leave the rod with a more sturdy and stronger feel and build in my hands.  I have them paired with a Conquest HG 100 and a Calcutta TE DC 100 with a longer handle.  The balance of the Conquest reel on the rod with the 6.8 ratio is very nice to me.  The metal reel transmits all the vibrations from the line and rod, making it a very sensitive and great feeling combo. I do believe the hype.  While NRX still has plenty of room in the quiver, the Conquest rods to me a very high quality, strong and sensitive.  The tapers are very versatile and the spiral wraps adds confidence and strength in the rod to me. Now if we get more tapers in the line up....watch out.  I need an extra heavy extra fast 7'3" for Texas slop.

From: Noel J: Dallas  9/26/18

Comments: Dont fall for the hype like I did, thinking it'll be better than the NRX (which is also overrated). It is built with quality but doesn't perform like a $600+ rod. I'm glad to see TW carry such high end rods though. With that being said, I think I'll stick to my megabass rods. Tight Lines!

From: Yoshi - San Diego, CA 9/17/18

Comments: I've got the 7'6 heavy. Bought it for throwing jigs and the thing is amazing. The strength of the rod is incredible. I was flipping a 4.1lb and a 4.3 lb bass onto the bank with ease with this rod. It loads up well and is extremely sensitive. I could feel everything that my jig was bumping into and of course the bites!

From: Jared - Kentucky 5/5/18

Comments: The rods were introduced at 2017 ICAST, and they have been used since arrival in October 2017. The assortment I use are MBR 843C and 844C. These rods perform as promoted. They cast greater distance than NRX, and are very accurate. The rods are mated to Metanium Shimano reels. What was noticed is there was much less fatigue when using the Conquest rods. What seemed, in my opinion, was the harmonics were greatly reduced in  the Conquest rods. By harmonics, these rods do not seem to recoil back to the handle, hence the grip can be more natural rather than tight. The Conquest rods seem to transmit less recoil to the wrist also, thus contributing to a very smooth casting action. Cost has been mentioned, but considering what it costs to outfit and plan a fishing trip, and the cost of quality gear with exceptional design and warrenty, the Conquest rods can add that extra bit of enjoyment and efficiency while in the water.

From: Larry: Texas 1/14/18

Comments: Amazing rod.  As sensitive as the NRX but has the classic Fast taper of the original MBR IMX/GLX that put G. Loomis firmly in place as the best bass rods on the market. My 903 is an incredibly versatile stick.  Jigs and Texas rigs, spinnerbaits and lipless.  Can't be beat. You gotta pay to play.

From: Unknown: 12/9/17

Comments: I have 14 of the Conquests in the following models: 905C, 904C, 903C, 842C and 842S. On the casting rods I have Aldebaran 50's on them all and the spinning models I have Exsence 3000's on them. Got to fish with all models except the 905C, which arrived at my house while I was at the lake...  I will say with the 905C just feeling it in my hand it balances WAY better than my NRX 895C did, the 905C is not tip heavy at all...I owned all NRX's prior to upgrading and the Conquests have a more "solid" feel, hard to explain but the NRX's felt "hollow"/brittle in comparison. I noticed the casting was more "fluid" with the Conquests and the guides were quiet, sometimes on my NRX's I could hear the line go through the recoil guides during a cast or when fighting a fish. I do like the full cork grip on the Conquests and its a very smooth cork feel in hand, no pits/rough spots like a couple of my NRX's had. I can't "with the naked eye" tell a weight difference between the Conquest and NRX, but they do feel stronger/more "solid" than the NRX. I caught several 3lb-4lb class fish on them including a 6lb and they all handled the fight of the fish great, I even caught a 5lb on the 842S paired with an Exsence 3000 with 8lb line. And I don't know if it's the reel or the rod or a combination of both, but the 842S with the Exsence 3000 casted like a dream! Farther and with less effort than with my NRX 852S w/Sustain 2500. I was a little worried at first with the "fast" action of the Conquests vs the "extra fast" of the NRX's but it wasn't an issue. I fished the same baits on the Conquests that I did with the NRX's and the rods handled the baits fine. I met the lure weight limits on each model I fished with, zero issues. The sensitivity is slightly better than the NRX in my opinion, but not as noticeable as say from a E6X to a GLX. Now, is "slightly better" worth the roughly 20% higher cost of the Conquest vs NRX? That's up to you...I'm a gear junkie so it was worth it to me... If you can swing the coin, I highly recommend them!

From: Brad Mitchell: Louisville, KY 12/11/17

Comments: This is the finest rod ever made. I can't believe the weight difference between this and the NRX. It is as light as a feather. I bought the 843C and tested it out with a few different baits including jigs, blade baits, jerkbaits, and swim jigs. It worked perfectly for all these applications. The big difference I noticed between this and the NRX is that I am able to control fish easier and cast more accurately than the NRX. Both rods are extremely sensitive. Being said, this is a mag bass rod meaning it is suited for a variety of technique where the NRX is primarily made for bottom contact. You can't go wrong with either one, depending on which techiques you are fishing. This is made for those seeking the best in fishing. I paired this rod with an Shimano Aldebaran and it is the lightest combo I've ever felt. It balances perfectly with a Metanium also. You will notice better casting and power to control fish. The guides stay perfectly in line under pressure. You will notice the accuracy, it is dead on accurate.

From: Bobby: Munster 11/27/17

Comments: The rods look good and have the G loomis reputation, but lack the sensitivity the claimed. Overall i'm so-so.
