Shimano Sahara FD Spinning Reels - $79.99
Sahara spinning reels from Shimano are the racehorses of the spinning reel world. These reels offer fast 6.2:1 gear ratios for the 2500 and 3000 models and 5.6:1 for the 1000 size. The high-speed gears are supported by a solid One-Piece Aluminum Frame that keep all the moving parts lined up and running smoothly, and Shimano's exclusive Propulsion Line Management System and Slow Oscillation, the Sahara FD brings a new standard to casting efficiency.
You can count on all the other great Shimano features like Super Stopper II for instant anti reverse and Power Roller III for up to 50% less drag and less twist on the retrieve. Sahara now features A-RB Anti Rust Bearings that offer 10 times more corrosion resistance than standard stainless steel ball bearings. Sahara also offers the Cold Forged Aluminum Spool, which reduces weight and resists nicks and scratches better. When you're looking for a high-speed spinning reel there is no need to look further than Sahara.

Comments: Pair this reel with an endurance rod an it's the most balanced combo over I swear to god
From: Jim: USA
Comments: I got the 3000 size and I have issues with the line getting caught on the bail right before it gets to the line roller. If this reel had the one piece bail wire like the Symetre, it would be the perfect spinning reel at a great price.
From: Bob: TX
Comments: love this reel so smooth and i can cast a mile. better than my pfluger present i will be buying more.
From: Ben
Comments: I use this reel stream walking for smallies. After dunking it in water, rain, dropping it several times, many fishing trips, and more fish than i can count, it still works awesome and has never failed me yet in any aspect.
From: Jordan: Illinois
Comments: Great reel for the money picked up a 2500 after a season of use and plenty of smallmouth abuse it still is as smooth as when i got it.
From: Eric: Seattle, WA
Comments: Great reel for the money. Casts far and very smooth.
From: Ian: Longview, TX
Comments: Awesome reel! I used the SH3000FD during my last two trips to the Salmon River, NY. No problems handling 8-15 pound Steelhead on extremely light tackle. Outstanding drag, super smooth casting, and excellet line handling.
From: Ken: Maryland, USA
Comments: Best reel i have ever boughten I have the 2500 series and the 4000. i have caught everything from crappie to flathead catfish with them. i am primamrily a river fisherman so needless to say they get abused. these reels comeback and ask for more in a fight. cannot say enough on how happy i am with them both.
From: Josh: USA
Comments: I bought two of these reels one of which cost me several fish in a tournament. The line started catching before the line roller and flipped open the bail once on the hookset and another after hooking the fish before flipping open. This has worn a groove from the line now on the taper right before the roller and I cannot use the reel without fraying my line. Shimano Please look at the design the taper it is flawed on the underside causing the line to stop before the roller!
From: Justin: Prineville, OR
Comments: Man don't think i will buy a different spinning reel ever again.
From: Jesse: Phoenix, AZ
Comments: Have used the 2500 with 6lb braid for the last 12 months has not let me down and have caught heaps of flathead on it up to 750mm.
