Comments: Great reel! Built like a rock. And one major thing, it comes with a second spool.
From: Brian: San Francisco
Comments: Best spinning reel I own. Getting another one soon. Never had a problem.
From: Mike: Norman Park, GA
Comments: This is really an excellent reel with great drag. The reel is extremely smooth and comfortable to handle. My only complaint is the bail sticking every few casts. While it doesn't affect the reel, it can be very annoying and not expected from a reel at this price. I have an older stradic that preforms better than this one with no issues whatsoever. Shimano should definitely get this problem fixed, but overall good reel.

Comments: Best reel I've ever owned. No issues with bail sticking like the other reviewers have experienced. Smooth, reliable, and solid.
From: Charles: NY
Comments: My 3000FI works flawlessly and it doesn't skip a beat. My 5000FI will work great too after I upgrade the roller bearing, thanks to the sand on the beach. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a smooth reel, great in fresh and saltwater and that casts farther than the eye can see.

Comments: Like alot of others, I've had problems with the bail sticking on my Stradic FI from day one. I'm totally PO'd, and will not buy another Shimano reel. I would expect a better product from them for $159.00
From: Greg: Minnesota, USA
Comments: I have 2 of these reels and would agree with the other comments below. The reel is fantastic when the bail does not stick which really becomes a pain in the @@@. I also purchased the saros 2500F and for 20 bucks less i do not have that issue. The saros is the better of the two i believe. Other than the issue of the bail sticking i have caught so very big fish on it. The drag is great and have even caught 20lb striper on 8lb p line. Buy any shimano reel over 100$ and you wont be disappointed.

Comments: I'm with you Dan if enjoy double clutching the bail - it's the reel for you! Everyone I know has the same problem. Talked to shimano they act like it's not a big problem. For a $159.00 ? Bad design an they know it.

Comments: Good reel, but bail sticks so often have to double clutch. Don't know why they can't fix the problem?
From: Dan: Virginia, USA
Comments: Big fan of shimano reels but having problems with the Stradic FI 3000 with the bail sticking every 10 to 12 times when you go to open the bail but otherwise a very smooth reel.
From: Tim: Greensboro, NC
Comments:Great, smooth, tough, durable. Stradics are by far my favorite spinning reels, and they have passed the test of time. Spend the extra money for a superior product and buy this reel.
From:Big J: Houston, TX
Comments:Shimano Stradic, best spinning reel I ever used. Unreal, A pro once told me you have to fish comfy to stay focused, this reel does that. The Curado 200 e series, I feel the same way.
From:Wayne: Arizona, USA
Comments:I own all revo's for baitcasters, but when its time to throw a spinning reel this reel is amazing! Use seaguar invis-x 8lb line on the 2500 reel and you have a perfect setup. No line twist, and I haven't broken the the 8lb line yet due to the superior drag. I highly recommend this reel.
