Customer Reviews

Comments: I currently own 4 casting models, 72MH & 72H as well as 75H and 76MHG. The rods are aesthetically pleasing but that does not hinder the performance. Every action is perfect and loads up well. I use the 76 Glass for TN70s and crankbaits and 95% they have both trebles stuck in their mouths coming back to the boat. Stellar rods for the price.

Comments: I bought 2 casting MH and H 7'2", 1 spinning 7' ML  be careful the jury is still out. Although  They are incredibly sensitive & light & awesome, I broke one last week flopping a 3lber in the boat. The rod probably caught about 50 keepers this summer so I don't understand why it broke on this average fish. The heavy rod broke about 10" from the top right at the guide wrap. Now I find out it only has a 1 year warranty.  too expensive for me to only have a 1 year warranty. My fault for not checking the warranty before I purchased them.

From: Joe: MI 10/24/16

Comments: I have several brands, G Loomis, Falcon, Dobyns, Denali, 13 Fishing, Kistler, Okuma, Powell, St Croix & Shimano Zodias is my favorite, excellent balance & good finishes.

From: Sergio: Los Mochis, Sinaloa 9/14/16

Comments: This rod is very amazing for me. I really wonder to own this rod. I can lift up a 3kg fish with this rod easily. This rod is very very wonderful.

From: T Raja: Medan, Indonesia 9/8/16

Comments: If you're a 1 rod 1 reel type of guy, this is the rod you want. Light & very well balanced, sensitive, the works. My 6'10" can flex enough from a weightless senko to an 1/8 oz jig to put it out there. It also chucks 3/16th & 1/2 lures like you'd imagine. Feels like it will work perfectly fine with a 5/8oz lure too & I'll find out soon as the waters warm up enough to fish some topwater. Favorite rod i've ever owned by far.

From: Drew: Chicago, IL 5/25/16

Comments: Amazing rod! I bought the 7'2"h for jigs & t-rigs and absolute love it. I've been searching years for the "perfect" jig rod & In my book this rod is just that! It's really light, very strong & super sensitive. Probably my favorite casting rod I've ever used, I plan to get at least 4more. My only con it doesn't have a bait keeper built on to the rod.

From: Austin: TN 4/4/16

Comments: I bought 7'2 MH casting, 6'10 ML casting, 7'M spinning & a 7'ML spinning. Paired with Stradic Ci4+s & Chronarch Ci4+ with a Metanium on the way. These are hands down the best bang for the buck rods on the market in my opinion. So light, sensitive and versatile. They have backbone yet you really feel the fish fight and definitely makes it more fun to fight the fish.Perfectly balanced with any Ci4+ reels.

Comments: Stellar rod. I have the 7' 2" Medium, great all around light stuff rod. Senkos, Flukes, cranks in the 1.0 range, poppers, etc. It handles lures under 3/8 great, but that being said, it handles lures up to 5/8 ounce or so superb too (just not bottom contact baits, like Texas Rigs or jigs). I personally love the grips, but I also have smaller hands. Reel seat is very comfortable & the guides are top notch. If you like to fish small cranks, which is what I originally got this rod to use, this is a great option & it looks sweet too.

Comments:  Just received my 7'2" MH Zodias. It is very light for this length - 4.3 oz on postal scale. Very nice looking, great guides & seems as though it would be crisp and sensitive... On the down side, It has no hook keeper - odd... I keep trying with Shimano & will try again I'm sure... With Crucial it was bad balance, with this one it's an ultra-thin grip. Why make the grip so thin Shimano?? I have medium sized hands, & this grip is thinner than Omens and other thin-grip rods on the market... Anyway, it's a deal breaker for me, so just something to be aware of... Also, I would prefer the grip (entire grip to the butt end) be a 1/2" to 3/4" longer, which would get it to the avg length of my 7' rods. When I tuck the butt end under my forearm it lacks that solid feel I like for setting the hook, especially when combined with the thin grip...

Comments: I like this rod. 7'2" med-heavy.It does cast very far and accurate. Been using it for 1/2 oz + spinnerbaits. Before I feel any weight, i instantly feel the blades stop thumping. I have to retrain myself to wait on my hookset, because it's so sensitive I know I have a strike almost too early, I pull it away too fast with 30 lb braid. I also have the new crucial in a 7'6" crank bait rod. Also very sensitive, but I think the zodias is more sensitive. It's almost violently sensitive, if that makes sense. When the fish fight, my hands feel it. I like it, I feel the strength of the fish better, which is nice, more satisfying to catch them.

Comments: bought this in 7'2 heavy action & paired it up with a abu garcia stx 7:1 ratio, very nice rod and very sensative, felt every bite and nibble when finessing, this rod is very light for a heavy action has a strong back-bone for pulling in the big ones too!!

From: Sean: MN 7/7/15

Comments: Paired this bad boy up with my Shimano Ci4+ and it felt like they became a 1 piece! super sensitive rod without breaking the bank! Got it in the 7'2 H also!

From: Joe: USA 6/29/15

Comments: Bought the 7'2" MH as an all around rod because I'm limited to the numbers of rods for kayak. Best money spent. Worms, jigs, topwater, and a few jerkbaits.

From: Chad: Sacramento, CA 6/25/15

Comments: This rod is pretty awesome. Got the 72h and it is great. Was able to throw Spro King Daddys & light t-rigs. Super versatile rod.

From: David: Milwaukee, WI 5/10/15

Comments: I got the 7' 2" H & its great, way lighter that the cumara & more balanced.

From: Joe: USA 5/8/15

Comments: No disappointments! Bought the 6'10" med action and love it! Finally found a perfect replacement for the original Cumara's at a decent price. Light weight and built tough.

From: Mike: Pekin, IL 4/20/15

Comments: I got this rod to replace a Crucial, and man am I impressed. The action is similar to my Crucial, but it feels more sensitive. Add to that the fact that the craftsmanship and quality is very high, this rod is a winner. Shimano got this one right.

From: Phil: Noblesville, IN 3/25/15

Comments: These rods are the real deal! They are light weight and balanced! Not to mention sensitivity. Blows the G Loomis e6x out of the water hands down

From: Jake: Smalltown, OH 3/14/15

Comments: Great rod! light sensitive! N TOUGH! Bought the 6 10 mh. its good all around jig/worm little crank baits rod

From: J: VA 3/14/15

Comments: Just purchased one of the new Shimano Zodias rods at the Bassmaster Classic, 7'2" MH. The rod is extremely well balanced and light. I'm not going to comment on the performance yet because I haven't had a chance to fish with it, but the overall feel and look of the rod is awesome!
