Engineered with an amazing warmth-to-weight ratio, the Simms Exstream Jacket is designed to handle arctic-like conditions without the heavy, overbearing fit of other cold-weather gear. Built using Primaloft insulation throughout the body (120g), sleeves (100g), hood (60g), collar (60g), and cuffs (60g), the Simms Exstream Jacket provides toasty protection from coldest conditions – even when it’s wet.

The Simms Exstream Jacket also comes with a removable, 3-point cinch, storm hood and has a soft, brushed tricot-lined collar. Offering ample storage space, the Simms Exstream Jacket is fitted with a large zippered chest pocket, hand-warmer pockets, and two large dump-pockets on the interior to hold gloves, plastics, and other accessories. A full-length, corrosion-resistant YKK zipper running down the front also provides long-lasting performance. Weighing in at just 24-ounces, the Simms Exstream Jacket allows you to escape freezing temperatures without being weighed down by heavy gear.

Comments: It's a nice jacket. Not nearly in the area of being down-jacket warm, but it's nice, sturdy, and well made.
Be aware of the fit: Sleeves are rather tight and long. For layering or free movement I needed the XL, but the waist is incredibly huge. It has to fit snug as any technical layer or it simply doesn't work. I'm 6'4, 200 lbs, waist (body) 34". The XL is for someone 42". I'd only recommend this for someone with a good belly and untrained arms. For you the fit is great.
