Customer Reviews

Comments: Love these rods. 6'10" dropshot rod is extremely sensitive & has plenty of backbone to fight monster fish. Got a 20lb pike (42") without breaking a sweat, and yes while fishing a dropshot. I also use a 7'1" jigs/baits casting rod for flippin' & dragging football jigs along the bottom, and the sensitivity in these rods is unreal. I can pick up on the lightest of bites. Quickly converting all of my rods to these blue beauties. Get one and you won't be disappointed.

Comments: I have the 6'10 Mxf shaky head paired with shimano c14+. The rod is quality built dont get me wrong. I find the handle to be quite uncomfortable and the rod is heavy tipped. Rod is not that sensitive either but thats because im comparing to my gloomis rods.

Comments: I've been fishing these rods for quite a few years now have the plastics spinning rod the sweeper spinnerbait rod the light cranker & the jerk bait rod simply put the lightest most sensitive rods you'll fish everyone who gets in the boat & fishes my rods makes the switch. Yes even the g Loomis guys your getting so much more rod for the money than with a Loomis & customer service is second to none at st. Croix they stand by there product.

Comments: I bought one of these rods when I read all the buzz about st. croix rods. First let me say I have only used loomis from the time I was a kid till now over 40 years so maybe that makes me maybe partial to Loomis. I have fished the st. croix all year long and caught fish on it and the rod is nice so do not get me wrong but I will never buy anything else but loomis ever again. I have the ex6 the glx and the nrx and I would put this rod slightly ahead of the ex6. The st. croix in my opinion can not hold a candle to my glx and we wont even talk about the nrx. If your trying to decide between the st, croix and loomis go with the loomis be rods money can buy!

Comments: I've had my 610MXF rod for a full season now and I couldn't be happier with my choice. It is by far the best rod I've ever used. It's super sensitive, when fishing light tubes I feel every rock and stick as it hops the bottom. It's amazingly strong too, I've reeled in 4# river smallies out of high water currents without the rod ever breaking a sweat. All in all my favorite rod ever. If you're looking at these I promise you won't regret it.

Comments:  Absolutly the best dropshot rod out there. I've put this rod to the test and it scores A+. Handles 7 pounders without a problem. Would definitely recommend this rod.

Comments: LOVE this Rod, St Croix All the Way...^^

Comments: Bought this rod for finesse fishing, senkos, light jigs, etc. This rod is awesome, super sensitive, light, and they look cool too! This is the only spinning rod you need,( unless there all you use). I compared them to a steez and a megabass pole and there was really no comparison. (ST.CROIX ALL THE WAY BABY). I bought a elite casting rod for jerkbaits/crankbaits and the legend tournament felt better. But I was comparing "apples to oranges" (spinning to casting) Buy this rod!!! Have a nice day.

Comments: I have the finesse rod.  I live in Montana and donÕt ever really catch big bass ever but I love using light line and this rod is sensitive. I can feel bass fry bite. Well worth the money and St. CroixÕs customers service is second to none.

From: Nate: Columbia Falls, MT

Comments: By Far the best blank on the market!!! I fished them all $500.00   G - loomis and so on---- no doubt the best blank ever!

From: Bunker: VA

Comments: I have the 6'10 ML Drop Shot / Finesse rod paired with the Pflueger Patriarch 9530 and its a great setup. I've only tested the rod out briefly throwing a small lipless crank but i already know this will be my go to combo for the upcoming season. The rod launches light cranks with ease, and the tip is extremely sensative and forgiving. It also balances very well with my Patriarch and Stradic CI4. I opted for the Patriarch because the combo looks like they were made specifically for each other. If the rod feels as good fishing soft plastics as it did throwing a small crank, it'll receive a perfect rating imo. Great job St Croix.
