Comments: I got the 6'9 ML for mainly dropshot and weightless soft plastics. Great rod for the money, paired with a Quantum Catylst. Have heard they break easily (has a 5 year warranty, not to sure about it though) if you bang the tips, but I have banged this rod around quite a bit and it hasn't broken. In the recent years, it seems as if St. Croix has gone down in quality, but there still my favorite brand!

Comments: I have the 6ft 10'' shakey head model . it has perfect action for shakey heads ,grubs , doesnt have the best balance , or wieght , but a great rod. Would like to see it in a longer version although.

Comments: I bought the 6'9" drop shot rod. It is verly light and super sensitive. I put the Sunline Snip fluocarbon in 8lb test on to a Daiwa Tierra 2000. This setup is awesome for drop shotting. You can feel the slightest taps on your line, and the combo balances perfectly in my hand. Great rod and I would recomend it to anyone looking for a DS rod.

Comments: I got the 6'8" medium extra fast. " Wacky style". It's super light and very sensitive. I paired it with a shimano stradic ci4 2500F. They look great together and the whole combo is around 11 ounces.

Comments: I bought this model at the urging of a sales associate at St. Croix. He said it is more sensitive than the 6' 8' model (wacky method). I guess it must be as it is longer and lighter:) Anyway, I like it. I have a Pflueger President XT on it and it balances very well. (Besides. the reel and rod are basically the same color. (The rod is a black cherry, which looks black when it is dark and the cherry color when it is sunny.)
It is more sensitive, longer and lighter than my TFO Gary Loomis, 6' 6' medium spinning rod which I bought here also. (That is a nice looking rod too!) I have a heavier Pflueger Supreme XT on it because I use it for lures and cast and retrieve much more, and because the handle of the rod and reel are the same gold color:) This combo casts a mile!
I like TFO too, and it looks to be made with a greater attention to detail than the St. Croix, especially in the handle, and has a longer warranty. I am a weekend, summer "fisherman", and both these rods are really more than I need. If you read reviews people say these two rods are well-worth and better than their $100 price.
