Overview

If you're looking for a rod that is lightweight, powerful, highly sensitive, and available at a value-conscious price, look no further than the US-built St. Croix Premier Series Spinning Rods. One of St. Croix's most popular rod series year after year, the Premier Series is built with premium SCII graphite blanks and high quality components. The SCII blanks feature mid-modulus graphite fiber with higher strain rate than fibers commonly used by other rod manufactures for increased sensitivity and power. Kigan Master Hand 3D guides with slim, strong aluminum-oxide rings and black frames span each blank and provide rugged performance, and lightweight Fuji TCS reel seats provide a solid, comfortable base for your reel. Premium grade, full cork handles also provide a comfortable grip and plenty of fish fighting leverage. Offering the ideal blend of incredible performance and value, the St. Croix Premier Series Spinning Rods are handcrafted in the US.

Comments: This is an excellent rod...my favorite by far. I have the 7ft Medium with fast tip and use it for smaller crankbaits, drop shots, Lindy rigs and Texas rigs. I paired it with an Okuma ITX 2500H spinning reel with 10# test. The rod sensitivity is 2nd to none and it casts far with little effort. It has plenty of back bone to set the hook, but also allows the fish to load up on your crankbaits. I am comparing this rod to my Lew's Tier One, St. Croix Triumph and Abu Garcia Vendetta. This rod is much nicer than these and I would highly recommend it.

Comments: I have the 7' MH and 6'6" M.  Love these rods.  7' MH is my favorite jerk bait rod, even for larger 115mm jerkbaits and +1/2 deeper diving vision 110âs.   It also is an awesome rod for wacky rigging Senkos, soft plastic jerkbaits, and floating worms.   I also use it for 3/8 ox grubs and small swim baits.   6'6" M is my favorite for casting #7 Shad raps using light braid.  Great 1/4 oz jig, grub, small swimbait rod. Both are super sensitive and bend at just the right spot in the rod.  Great hooksets balanced with sensitivity and a soft tip.

Comments: Very pleased with this rod. Excellent fit and finish, very high grade cork handle and fine balance in the hand with a 4000 series Daiwa Fuego. Excellent value made all the more so by its American made logo.

Comments: I have had this rod for around 5 years and it is the best rod I've ever used super sensitive you can feel the slightest bites. I have caught everything flounders in the surf, salmon in the rivers trout and my pb bass 4 times I have the 6'6 med heavy paired with a 30 size alaris

Comments: Been fishing st croix since I started my oldest is 12 years and still kicking, just bought a new 7' and cant wait for it to get here. Any problems I've called and they have taken care of it that om that intail call. Only thing is I remeber when I bought my first 2 robs they came with a hoodie I wish that was still the case but hey I still got two of them over 10 years later.

Comments: St. Croix Premeir Spinning is the only spinning rod I use. It's been consistently high performing for me for many years. I need consistency because spinning is all I use for bass fishing. I'm who fishes smaller rivers and small lakes. The premier in the 7 foot medium action covers all of my fishing needs.

Comments: I bought the 6'6" MF rod, the first rod I ever bought over 2 years ago now. This rod is a staple in my wife and I's arsenal no matter the conditions, it has always produced for us. It's become my wife's go to, I rarely get to touch it these days. Also worth noting that the first outing this year, this rod plummeted to the bottom of our fishery and I had to order a new one. Despite my fear that it wouldn't be the same lucky rod, it never skipped a beat. Great consistency, quality, and action rod for the price. I'd also like to recommend TW start carrying the 6'6" lengths, I'm 6' tall my wife is 5'4", and this rod is really quite perfect for accuracy and distance for the both of us. The 7'ers just don't have the same power/action. If you're a newcomer and looking for a great first rod look no further than this, match it with a 2500 size reel and go get some.

Comments: I was fishing for crappie in PA, so was a large northern pike, I was fishing with a 7 ML Premier. Got him landed but he broke the rod in the process. St Croix replaced the rod within a week. Great service, The best rods, i would buy nothing else.

From: Unknown 9/29/17

Comments: Bought a 6"6 ML foot rod use it no one then six outing. While transporting the cork broke off this is my first St. Croix rod. I have this rod less then a month. It might be an egg but I'm not going to get another one.

Comments: I've had my Premier a 7' med, 1 pc for over 5 years. It's durable, sensitive and my go to rod. It owes me absolutely nothing.

From: Deke - 4/17/17

Comments: Just picked up a 6'6" ML from bass pro and wow does it feel nice. super light and super sensitive. appears to be a great value for the money.

From: Unknown 4/3/17

Comments: These are hands down the most versatile spinning rod, i have tried other brands but seem to always come back to st croix. The 7'medium is all you need to finesse fishing

From: Justin: NY 3/12/17

Comments: I use 1/2 oz soft plastics with 20 lb braid. Biggest fish I've landed with is was a 14 pound striped bass that was near structure. This stick had no issue man handling the fish when it got too close to docks or suspended chains. It also allows for fun fights on the smallest of fish. Smallest fish it has landed was a 1/2 pound flounder. I could feel the fight because of the great sensitivity. My favorite rod. Perfect for my style of fishing.

From: Unknown: 1/13/17

Comments: My St. Croix Premier 7' Medium has definitely exceeded my expectations. I've caught a lot of 4 to 6 pound bass & the rod has handled everyone from long hook sets to taming the fish when they make a run underneath the boat. And it's sensitive enough to detect the most subtle bites„ especially important as we get into colder weather. I like everything about the rod except the hook keeper; i much prefer "open" keepers, not closed.

From: Barry: Atlanta, GA 12/4/15

Comments: I've had this rod for about a year now and I love it. It's obviously not A Legend Extreme but for the money best rod i've used so far. Largest bass I've caught so far was 5 lbs. and I just horsed it right in with 0 problems. Love my St. Croix!

From: Anthony: USA

Comments: This is a great rod! When I got mine (The 7 foot medium.)I wasn't sure how well it would handle large baits, but it dose a great job! I can fish everything from Small worms to crankbaits, to jigs, to small swimbaits. It even had the backbone to wrestle a 7-8 pound bass out of cover! And It is super sensitive, I can feel it every time I tap a branch or rock! Great rod!
