Comments: This jig, with a chunk trailer, is absolute murder on smallmouth bass in N. Wi. It has a double rattle and is sturdy. Excellent for swimming. The hook is super sharp. One negative. The bristles for the weed guard are too stiff, and too many in my opinion. It's excellent for avoiding snags (especially over submerged timber) but not so excellent for hook setting purposes (though still good). Cut half or so of the bristles off (like I did) and work it lightly (ofcourse it will be prone to snag a little more often) and you won't lose fish. Leave it in stock form and you'll land most of the fish. Fish aren't always hitting baits hard enough or correct enough to crush such a stiff guard. I don't know. I could be wrong.
