One of Diawa’s most advanced and innovative lines of specialty bass rods, the Team Daiwa Cielo Casting Rods deliver superior technique-specific performance and premium components. Each rod in the series was painstakingly designed and fine-tuned to include all of the attributes necessary to excel at a given bass fishing technique. Featuring Daiwa’s revolutionary SVF (Super Volume Fiber) Graphite blank technology, the Cielo Casting Rods are extremely lightweight, powerful and sensitive. The SVF technology combines precise resin control with unidirectional graphite fiber to produce a blank with maximum graphite density, which in addition to the above referenced benefits, also bolsters durability.

Further minimizing weight and maximizing sensitivity, Daiwa’s exclusive, custom-designed, exposed-blank Tournament Reel Seats provide a solid base and full access to the rod blank. Fuji SiC Guides deliver additional durability, and the hardness of the Silicone Carbide (SiC) inserts facilitates a greater transfer of vibration. Tournament-proven with the performance and sensitivity to feel every tick of your bait and even the subtlest bites, the Team Daiwa Cielo Casting Rods also have the strength to muscle big bass back to the boat and toughness to last for years of productive fishing.

  • All Cielo Rods backed by Daiwa’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
  • The 7' and 7'6" models have an exposed blank reel seat.

Comments: Great price first of all, got the 7'6 flipping rod with Zillion 50th, Suffix 50 lbs braid, perfect for killing big bass, and the backbone is tight!

    From: BassHunter: Menomonie, WI

Comments:Bought the 7 foot heavy, much more of an enthusiast offering than I expected. The blank is superb and thanks to the design of the reel seat and foregrip sensitivity is unbelievable. My only complaint is that the reel seat doesn't like modern Shimanos ( core, chronarch, etc...) and they don't seat properly. Make sure to invest in a Daiwa or Abu. Overall tremendous rod and fantastic deal.

Comments:I bought the 7 heavy and flippin/pitchin rod, same blank as the steez, I only regret not buying more and plan on doing so shortly, very nice rod, if TW had more of a selection of these I'd buy every single one of them.

Comments:I bought 4 of these rods. Love them. Very comfortable to fish all day long. Great sensitivity and low weight. Balances perfectly with my Zillion 50th. You guys need to get them while they last.

Comments:As I stated in my earlier review I have the 7 ft model. Used it this past Saturday on Lake Guntersville dragging lizards and big worms through the grass. It preformed GREAT.

Comments:Bought the 7, 6" flipping version. I like how it comes apart above the foregrip. Surprisingly light for a flipping rod. Balances nicely with most reels and is not tip heavy like most flipping rods. I'm guessing this is partly due to the 2 pieces connecting closer to the base of the reel than the middle, less material towards the end compared to a regular 2 piece. I feel confident throwing heavy jigs and small to medium size swimbaits with this rod. I also feel equally confident pulling big bass through thick cover. Good price at $150. Slightly better than the zillion flipping rods in my opinion. A hook hanger would be nice, but then it wouldn't be a Daiwa.

Comments:Bought the 7 ft. model a couple of weeks ago. I paired it with a Skeet Revo and like it. It is a light responsive rod with plenty of backbone.

Comments:Hey if you are looking for an awesome rod with great sensitivity, then the 7ft Hvy is the best over IMX Loomis and Kistler LTA. For the price you get 2, you will fall in love with the feel and with the life time warranty you can’t go wrong.
