The Pluton is designed to handle big fish and heavy braided line, two things that don't normally mix with light tackle. The solid yet lightweight, one piece aluminum frame and super smooth multi-disc drag are built to handle extreme pressure, torque and punishment.
The Daiwa Pluton is available in a high-speed 6.2:1 gear ratio, giving you the ability to match your style of fishing. The Pluton is loaded with eight corrision-resistant CRBB ball bearings and a roller ball bearing ensuring consistent smoothness and durability. Daiwa has carried over the cast control technology from the Luna reels, the Pluton has a side panel cast control, making the Pluton an extremely versatile reel. The infinite Anti-Reverse delivers bone jarring hooksets and the Swept Handle design minimizes wobble and provides maximum winding leverage.

Comments: Great reel, I do mostly Saltwater fishing. This reel will bring in any Snook, Red you can catch. I have landed a 55 LB Tarpon and even a 36" Gag Grouper with this reel with no problems at all , I think its the best reel for the money. Fishing it for a year now wish I could get matching Spinning reel.
