Customer Reviews Back to Top
Comments: I have several of these casting rods including a 7'Heavy, 7'4 xheavy, and 3 7'6" flippin rods. Very light, sensitive, and handle big fish well. This review is coming from someone who owns several of the St. Croix tournament series, and some G Loomis rods. I feel that these Diawa zillion rods fish far better than rods I have ever used!
From: Jack: Kissimmee, FL
Comments: Yes, the rods are a touch over powered. That being said, at this price point unless you venture into some higher dollar sticks (Z Bone, GLX, NRX,), you would be hard pressed to find a better rod for bottom contact presentations. They feel and fish very nice. Daiwa is headed off in a Southern direction with their rods, so get some of these while you still can.
Comments: I have had my 7ft MH Zillion for over 4 years now. I have caught tons of bass on it including 2 nines pounds in 2012. Its great jig rod.
From: Ben: MO
Comments: I have the Zillion 7ft M and 6'9" MH. I can honestly say these are overpowered. Every rod seems like it should be one power higher. With that being said, these are great rods. They are very light and balanced. Paired with a TD Fuego, the 7ft Medium is my go to stick for just about any kind of fishing.
From: Justin: SC
Comments: Nice looking rod but a little tip heavy but that goes for all split grip rods. These rods are a little over powered and stiff IMO (i.e the medium XF tip feels like a MH fast) Anyways, I ended up breaking the rod tip on a hook set and now have to deal with Daiwa and their warranty department. Lets see how this goes.
From: G: NY
Comments: This has a nice wow factor when you first hold it in your hand. That wow factor quickly dissapears when you see the "made in china" sticker. For me, when I see that sticker and i see they charged $200.00, it just sets off the "You got ripped off" alarm. Yet another nice Japanese rod but overpriced if not made in Japan.
From: Scott: Japan
Comments:These are very nice rods, Comparable to any other high end manufacturers offerings. They perform very well and I haven't had any real issues to this point.
Comments:Head to Head bassin.... these rods will destroy Shimano, Rapala R Type and most Loomis rods... anyday of the week.
