Comments: Just like many others anglers I learned how to change out hooks w/my thumbnails and even got pretty good at it- but after 50+ years of bass fishing experience, 30+ years of fishing equipment sales & buying or trying out no less than 10 different mfg.'s "so-called" split ring pliers I can say w/o a doubt, if you are using anything else than Texas Tackle's split ring pliers to change out your hooks- you are struggling w/this task! Comments: I've had mine Texas Tackle Split Ring Pliers for years. I have tried many others that look like they may work but TEXAS TACKLE SPLIT RING PLIERS ARE THE BEST PERIOD! They simply work and I am buying another pair because my father borrowed one of the two I bought in 2002 and according to him I'm not getting that set back. Heck I may buy 2 pair just because.

Comments: If anyone has trouble using these pliers, than they obviously aren't using them correctly.... There's really no other explanation, because these have made my life (and many other's) much easier and I no longer dread changing out hooks and rings on baits, because these make the process painless and saves a ton of time and money. These are BY FAR the best split ring pliers on the market, and it's not even close. The few complaints I've seen mentioning a poor build quality, are asinine, and must have been posted by a competitor, because there is no way someone could actually bash the build quality, when the second you put them in your hands, it's obvious they have a top notch build quality. What's funny is none of those complaints recommend an alternative option, because quite frankly, there is not another product on the market that compares to the quality and performance of these pliers (at the price they are sold). These are a must have for anyone who tinkers with their baits or has a need for opening split rings.

Comments: Have used the same pair extensively for at least 10 years with no obvious wear. These are the only pliers that I'm aware of that will successfully manipulate any split ring including the very rigid Worth brand that I prefer. Avoid the do-it-all pliers and get a pair of these for ease of use.

Comments: Well after buying many different brands of split rings i found these here on Tackle Warehouse and figured, they have to be better then the junk i have now...First impressions? perfect, Just perfect... Love the Orange handles so my old eyes can find them when i put them down and well they just work..What more can i say....

Comments: Highly disappointed given the amount of glowing reviews here which by the way I read before placing my order. So, what's the problem with it? Simply put, the pointed bit of the pliers used for prying open the split ring is just not sharp nor long enough. It was HARD work to get anything open. I only received it today and I am already looking around to buy another pair cos is that bad.

Comments: I've used these for a few years in the midwest & no downside to them. I change out nearly all of my trebles & the function & durability of this tool is flawless. I didn't check to see what part of the country the guy was in that mentioned rust, but mine are kept in my boat in the garage, & haven't shown the slightest hint of rust. You won't be able to spend more, or less, & have a better tool for this application - IMHO. They work better than any other split ring pliers I've ever used & I've turned several friends onto them that agree...

Comments: Make in Pakistan but very sturdy and and they work great. The spring between the handles defaults the jaws in the open position so they are easy to use, even on size 0 split rings. The lower jaw extends beyond the upper jaw which is the key to the design. No "pinching" the split ring and popping it on the floor. 2 thumbs up.
