The Tru Tungsten Mad Maxx Frog was co-designed by pro bass fishing veterans Marty Stone and Mike Iaconelli and features some unique innovations. Notably there is a drain port at the back of the frog with a pre-drilled hole that allows you to easily drain the water out of the frog's cavity in between casts. The Mad Maxx Frog also features a hard underbelly designed to enhance the action and balance of the frog. The hard bottom has contours similar to the design of a boat hull, directing water flow along its sides and making it extremely easy to walk. There is no need to worry either about the hard bottom limiting hook exposure because the top of the frog still retains its collapsibility when a fish bites down on the bait - projecting the hooks into the fish's mouth. Also featuring an internal tungsten rattle for added fish attracting sound, the Tru-Tungsten Mad Maxx Frog is an extremely effective and user friendly bait that is dynamite when the frog bite is on.
Comments: Ordered two of these last week and tried it out this weekend. Wow, I'm impressed. The hook up ratio is great and the action is solid. Stays weedless and brings home the bass! Those hooks seriously bust trough those bass lips. Great frog! And I have tried a bunch, would recommend. Zach-owner of fishinthesouth.com

Comments: the proof of a plastic frog's effectiveness is not how many hit's it get's but how many hookup's it get's. some frog's simply are better hooker's than other's, no matter how realistic they look or who make's them. the fisherman also has alot to do with it as well. sometime's the fish inhale the frog and sometime's they just roll on it. waiting to feel the fish after the initial strike will improve the hookup ratio emensely. they sell hook file's to sharpen the hook's on any lure, USE ONE! the attitude of the fish and the season/location is all important. personally, i have used these frog's with no complaint's. slow down on the hookset's and see for yourself. wait for the 'tug'! canyon plastic's make's the BEST hooker produced due to softness and design!

Comments: Today i went fishing with the Mad Maxx and caught a 5 pounder and a 9 pounder with the Bluegrass color. Best frog ever.Great hookup %. This frog definetly out fishes any spro frog or snagproof frog....highly recommend this one.

Comments: Honestly, the Spro's are great fish catchers but something about the Mad Maxx makes it have more hits.. The first time I used one I was amazed at how many hits this bait got, but, the hooks were to small and they body was to hard. I ordered some more any and today I noticed the package said new softer body and bigger hooks. Great idea, but the hooks on one of the frogs was extremely dull. TT needs to start using Gamakatsu frog hooks. Other than that, best frog on the market.

Comments: Bought One a few weeks back. So far, no luck in landing anything. Lot's of hits burning it, but no hook ups yet, plenty on the Spro though. also, it does not cast as well as the Snag Proof, Spro or Boze. 5 out of 10 rating.

Comments: Threw the hell out of this frog and it got bit a lot! Problem is the hook up ratio sucks. I did get my biggest fish of the day on it it was the only one I was able to hook with this thing - close to a 6 pounder. That was after many blow ups and waiting for the weight of the fish before setting the hook and nothing but slop would come back to the boat. I will try to soften the body and give it another try, if that doesn't work I will pitch it into the abys with the other imported junk that costs lots of hard earned American dollars but don't work.

Comments: I love this frog. I got it in rotten pumpkin color because I thought it would be just a great color for catching bass. I just went fishing with it yesterday and I was fishing a big matted grass field. It took a while to get a hit but when I did it was a huge one. I just waited to feel the weight and I set the hook hard. I brought this hawg in and it took like 10 minutes to get in cause it is really tough pulling a bass in through a lot of slop with 14 pound mono. But this frog has incredible action and gets way better hookups than the previous Spro frogs I have bought in the past.

Comments:You can soften the bait by leaving in you car on the dashboard for a couple days.

Comments:Will never buy another Mad Max in my life. Have had some I bought 3 weeks ago and the frog bite is on. Have yet to get a fish to the boat on one. Hook up is bad, body too hard or something. Can catch them on a Snag Proof and Mann's frog. I guess it will be a good frog to find out if there is fish there but not to put them in the boat.
