The Tru-Tungsten Matt & Ish Tru-Life 5" Swimbaits provide the same winning characteristics as the original 4" model - now with a larger profile. Designed by swimbait masters Matt Newman and Ish Monroe, these baits feature a shad shaped body designed to "match the hatch" in waters where smaller baitfish are the main course for bass. Notably, these baits come equipped with 2 removable tungsten balls made to fit into the bait's built-in chamber and allow the angler to add or subtract weight based on where they want to fish in the water column. Its four segment design also helps the Tru-Life 5" Swimbaits accurately mimic a fish's natural movements, while the life-like scales, eyes and paint schemes add to the bait's authenticity. The Tru-Tungsten Tru-Life 5" Swimbait is a perfect compliment to the original 4" model and is available in two versions, a Wake/Slow Sink for keying in on topwater and shallow feeding fish and a Slow/Fast sinking version to get down deeper and down deeper faster.
Comments:This bait has given me confidence in hard swimbaits. Up till now, I've caught a ton of fish on soft swimbaits, hollowbodies etc... Never had much success w/ jointed hardbaits like the trouts etc. I throw this 5" gill on 20lb. flouro and it just flat out gets mauled by bass. It's super durable, withstood dozens of mean bass, just dont throw it up onto rocks. Once I got it hung and had to pull the hooks straight to get it back...replaced the hooks w/ Owner stinger trebles and its better than new!! I'll put it in the arsenal, because it produces and some strikes can be ultra-viscious. One drawback... the weight of the bait and the large trebles can and will inflict damage to fish if it swings around and gets them in the back or gills.

Comments:Good Bait, have caught fish on it, only problem is its not real durable. I've caught some good fish with this and the bait has come in with broken fins, snapped off tails, and paint chips. The bbz1 shad is a little more durable for the same price and in my personal opinion has better action.
