Overview

Vicious No-Fade Braid doesn't just resist fading, it simply doesn't fade. Unlike traditional braids that put the color on as a coating, Vicious Braid's Color-Fast technology utilizes a pre-dyeing technique that makes the color part of the line. The specially coated line features 8-carriers ensuring a smooth cast, quiet retrieve, superior strength and minimal fraying. Vicious No-Fade Braid also has zero-stretch to deliver superior bite detection and hooksets. With Vicious No-Fade Braid, anglers can eliminate changing their braid due to fading and enjoy more time on the water.

Comments: Update on my previous review: "The line is not as strong as other braid. When 10lb was used with 8lb P-line, the braid line breaks first, unlike other braid". Recently, I measured the diameter with a digital caliper. This vicious 10lb line's diameter is significantly less that of 10lb power-pro. Now I am not sure if the line is intrinsically weaker than other braids.

From: Tony: Virginia 7/31/23

Comments: Stay away! I have used power pro for years and have no idea why I decided to change but I wanted to try something new. This stuff seemed good at first, but my god does it break easily. It's actually borderline useless. I fish a lot of tournaments all over the country. Re-spool every rod I put this on now.

Comments: I have been using this braid since the start.I use the 10lb test casts like a dream. Great sensitivity does not loose its colour.Best braid I have ever used.

From: Gary: Ontario, Canada 6/28/22

Comments: Best braid on the market!! It really doesn't fade and stays strong. Definitely give it a try!

From: Anthony: New York 12/25/21

Comments: Got the 10lb pound line and it's amazing do not get thrown off that it may be a little thicker than most braid it casts like 4 pound braid very smooth no fade at all

From: Unknown 8/25/21

Comments: After using this line (30lb) for a few months, I have mixed feelings for it. The pros and cons are both obvious. Pros: very strong line. Color does hold well, no sign of fading at all. Backlashes are easy to solve. Cons: Line diameter is larger than the specification. The line is very stiff compared to other braid - it almost feels like Fluro to some extent and has some "memory", which is uncommon. So if the line wasn't spooled with enough tension, you tend to get more backlash (I used it on Metanium DC and Metanium MGL so it was not due to a bad reel). I feel the casting distance is a bit shorter than Maxcuatro. Overall, you have a trade off between strength & no fade and stiffness & cast capability.

From: Yousuo: Fairfax 3/19/21

Comments: The best braided line you can buy in my opinion. I spooled up a reel last summer for frogging. I fish average 4-5 days a week. It has not faded at all. Line has stayed round. I've backlashed once because I tried to whip it way out, but the line came out easily. I have not once broken off on a hookset. Heck, this line hasn't once snapped on me. I'm using 50 pound test. Do yourself a favor and get this line. I know I won't be using any other braided line but this. Even Vicious's pro flouro is a great line. I expect this line to last another couple years.

From: Brian: IL 7/4/20

Comments: I purchased the Vicious no fade braid In the 50 lb. test and have been using it for 3 months fishing at least 2 to 3 times a week. It's true this line doesn't fade at all and is very smooth and round. It digs but it doesn't stick or catch into itself and it's still slick as the day I spoiled it.Its advertised as being .012 inches and it's closer to .016 I try to choose lines baised on thier dianeters more than lb. test and i usually only use braid for swim baits and fogging prefering flurocarbon for flipping. This line has changed my mind I spooled this on my flipping stick and have found  it's the most sensitive line I've ever fished have had zero problems with it casting or fraying zero breakage and doesn't absorb water like others. I've  straightened sevral river 2 sea 5/0 no jack hooks with this line flipping it in rock and heavy brush. I've been an original power pro and suffix 832 user for years and will be converting all my braided lines to vicious no fade.

From: Roger: 8/18/19

Comments: I really like braid and I have used them all - starting way back when Spiderwire hit the scene. IMO This braid is superior in all categories ! And it doesn't leave the color on your reel or guides - it really is No-Fade. If you think your 832 or PowerPro doesn't leave residue - get a cotton swap with alcohol and run it it the rod guides or anywhere on your reel.  They all pretty much all bleed and fade quickly. If you only fish a few times a year the others may be ok for you - not enough usage to fade - but if you are on the water almost every week - this is your braid. The days of markers to darken faded line are over with this line. Great strength - abrasion resistance is as good or better - and cast great. Any braid could possibly get wind knots - but this line is not prone to them.  If you don't have a lot of experience with braid - things happen. Knots don't last forever - braid is not indestructible - but this is the best stuff out there for braid applications. I tried Finatic braid and it performed well - but my personal preference is the Vicious No-Fade - and the price point is better also.  If your trying to cash a check - why not get the best tools - I believe this is the best. I've used and am using 20 / 30 / 50 / 60 - all perform flawless. Can't speak of any of the other Vicious products - but this is a winner. No-Fade - Seaguar Fluorocarbon and whatever mono you like and don't look back.

From: Pat: Atlanta, GA 6/30/19

Comments: Best line I've ever used. Different Green color to it but literally doesn't fade. Very thin and smooth feel to it. Don't really know why the last guy had so much problems. Hardly any over runs or back lash and when there is one it's very easy to dig out. Probably use error because this line is so thin and smooth you cast further so if you're not used to thumbing more then turn up brakes or you probably will backlash and blame the line.

From: Terri 6/6/19

Comments: I tried some 30 lbs No Fade Braid on a spinning reel for weightless Super Flukes and Senkos. I had nothing but wind knots the entire time and ended up cutting off at least 25 yards the first time using it. I was really looking forward to using with it's small diameter and great reviews but I took it off the next day and will try it on my baitcaster. I've used 20 lbs Suffix 832 which is slightly larger in diameter for years with no problems like this.  It would loosely wrap around the spool and knot up every few casts. If it needs to break in there will be nothing left on the spool by the time that happens. My fishing buddy also tried some 30 lbs too for the same reasons with the same set up for the same application with the same results. Very disappointed.

From: Gary: NJ 4/25/19

Comments: Used to use PowerPro, Fire Line, and Spider Wire.   Made the switch to Vicious No-Fade Braid and have never looked back.  I used it for everything from frogging to main line for dropshotting.  This line is by far my favorite and doesnt breal the bank.  Spooled up last year with it and its still not Faded!

From: Shawn: Oak Ridge, NJ 1/8/19

Comments: Like Tatsu flourocarbon, pay the extra $$$ and buy this braid. Been using the 60lb for flipping and frogging and it is literally the same color as the day I spooled it up(3 months ago). This stuff is no joke. As the Wired2Fish review also stated, this braid nearly never digs in on itself after a hookset. Previously used power pro digs so damn bad, it at least goes down 3/16ths of an inch into your spool every time I set the hook( frogging specifically). The fact the no-fade doesn't dig allows me to make rapid casts if need be, which is important to me. I tied a Royal Polaris knot with the 50lb to a 20lb tatsu leader and its knot strength and overall management is great, thinner than power pro also. 10/10 for me

From: Lex: MN 9/9/18

Comments: Been reading previous reviews which have been very impressive. Decided to buy some 30 lb test for frog fishing and 20 lb for worm fishing. Just recently put both to the test during one of our local Bass tourneys. I was very pleased with the smooth castability and casting distance of this line. Caught a number of Bass with both pound test. No break-offs, even pulling Bass out of some very thick slop with the frog. Been a Power Pro line user for years, but with the performance I have been experiancing, Vicious will be my go to line.

From: Pete: Sodus Point, NY 6/19/18

Comments: This stuff is the truth. Yes  it's not a gimmick  this line really does NOT fade. I fish heavy weights in thick cover year round. I've had this spooled up for months, still as dark green as the day I bought it... incredible. Now aside from that  this braid is as round and fishable as any other I've used, and I've used them all. Congrats to Vicious on a break thru product!!

From: Uknown - Lake Seminole, GA 12/24/17

Comments: I wanted to wait until I had thoroughly tested this line for a full season of fishing before I did a review.  Here is my take on it.  While not exactly No-fade, the color holds up remarkably well and It's about as close to no-fade as you can get.  By the time it even begins to fade, it's probably time to think about replacing it anyway.  Also no more having to color your line with a marker or paint is a huge plus to me.  It cast extremely well and is very quite through the guides.  It also eliminates any wind knot issues.  It doesn't fray and has tremendous knot strength.  The diameter of this line is very small for the poundage rating.  I have had zero issues while using this braid and have pulled some huge fish out of really nasty cover/vegetation without ever breaking off and I use braid 70% of the time for everything.  I can honestly say that to me this is absolutely the best braid on the market and have tried most all other brands out there.  This is the standard which all other braids should be measured.  Nice job Vicious!

From: FL, 12/23/17

Comments: I punch 90% of the time.  I have used Berkeley, Suffix 832, Seguar.  Vicious No Fade is hands-down the best.

From: Brad - Baton Rouge, LA 11/19/17

Comments: This is the best braid I have ever used!  This stuff really handles great with no tangles/wind knots and it casts a mile. The line is still just as green as the day back in March I spooled it on.  I used to spool up Sufix 832, but this No Fade is No Joke!

From: Scott: Michigan 10/2/17

Comments: This stuff is great. No fade means exactly what it says. Cast's a mile. Great handling. Only braid I will buy from now on.

From: Trey: Richmond VA 8/14/17

Comments: This is hands down the best braid I have ever used, I have used Sufix, Powerpro, Maxima, Seaguar, Daiwa and Sunline and none of them even come close, I now have this braid on every combo, I fish around 4-5 times a week and this braid still looks new....The only thing I wish for is some 10 and 15 pound no fade braid and a yellow color option.

From: Paul: Ogden 7/5/17

Comments: Best braid I have used, I have used seaguar smackdown, sufix 832, maixma, powerpro and a few others, it stays green, casts excellent, its what a braid should be, I have it on every rod.  I only wish there was a yellow version and offered in 15lb.

From: Paul - 6/1/17

Comments: I loved Vicious Braid to begin with but No-Fade takes it to another level. I've been fishing with this stuff since last September and it still looks like brand new! A couple of Big Fish Cheques later and months of flippin', pitchin', and A-Rigin', and it's still green! Landed a 46.5" Lake of the Woods Musky - still going strong!

From: Josh: Kenora, Ontario, Canada 4/23/17

Comments: Good Stuff!  Fished the heck out of it, still looks like new, since I got it last Septemeber . I'm still on my original spool and have not had one problem. Been telling all my customers in my guide service where to buy it!

From: Charlie: Coushatta, LA 1/17/17

Comments: I received some of the 60lb. No-fade Braid in early fall and have been using it ever since. I have it on 2 flipping sticks and it still looks like its never been used. I have even wrangled and landed a few flathead catfish in the 50-60 lb. class with it!! This stuff is awesome. Although the "No-Fade" component is the main feature of the line, I especially like the smoothness and castability the best. In addition, this line has drastically cut down my number of "overruns" compared to other braids I have used. Cant wait to get more...

Comments: Love this braid. I have been using this braid for several months and can honestly say this stuff is the real deal.  Smooth casting, no stretch, color doesn't fade or come off on your hand, abrasion resistance is unlike any braid I have used. This will be my number one choice for braid going forward.

From: Josh: Michigan 12/9/16

Comments: I have had the pleasure of using this new braid for about two months now and have to say it is even better than advertised. I used it on my Carolina rig and frog rod. After about twenty times on the water with it, I must say it still looks as if it just came out of the box. The moss green looks brand new and also after using this braid in some pretty rough places, there are no signs of fraying or any wear and tear anywhere. This means a lot to me because there will be less spooling new line so often. I'm confident this will out last any other braid on the market. Everyone should buy a spool and give it a try. I stand behind this product 100%. You won't be disappointed.

From: Chuck: North Carolina 12/9/16

Comments: WOW!!!! Vicious has really raised the bar with the new NO-Fade braid. I have fished a lot of braided line over the years and I must say this is far superior to any I have used in the past.  Casts like a dream and the sensitivity is great for flippin' or punching jigs. I feel it slides better through the thick mats than the other normal braids out there. I will be telling my friends they can get it here now. AWESOME!!!!Thanks Tackle Warehouse for carrying this product line!!!!!

From: Pat B: Missouri 12/9/16

Comments: The NoFaid Braid is as good as advertised.  I use the 50 pound for frogging and after two months of use it still has the same round profile I started with and hasn't frayed at the knot or turned colors.  It wraps better on the reel than others I've used and is worth the money.

From: Kendall: Kalamazoo, Mi 12/10/16

Comments: I have gotten my hands on some of this and have been using it for a while, color is still that same as the day I spooled it up  This line is hands down the toughest braid I've ever fished!

From: Shawn Hawks: Vinton, Ohio 12/10/16

Comments: Hi guys, Mike Crump here from Fishing with Mike. Just wanted to talk a minute about the No-Fade Braid line by Vicious Fishing. I have been using the same reel full of 50 lb braid since the middle of August. Threw a frog on that rod, then I changed it to an Alabama rig...the line is the same color and just as slick. It does not bury up on the spool. When your line doesn't bury up, you make a proper cast, not a half cast from buried line. You can't go wrong investing in this new product.

From: Mike: Jonesboro, AR 12/11/16

Comments: Hello guys! I have been fishing the 20lb no fade braid for about three months and I have to say I am very impressed with the performance of this line it looks as good now as the day I spooled it . This line is definitely a game changer , it is going to save anyone that uses braided line money due to the fact it is just what it says NO FADE BRAID , Thanks

From: Gene Barnette: Town Creek, AL 12/11/16

Comments: All I can say if this is the first Braid that I have ever used that stays green! Was lucky enough to get a preview sample of it a couple months back to try out. I have used it all fall throwing top water on Kentucky lake and you cant tell the difference in the color of what's on the reel and what is left on the spool. It just doesn't fade....no more taking a sharpie and re coloring the line, just fish it. That is not its only strong point it slides through the guides smooth and doesn't cut into the spool on hook sets like a lot of other braid, so pre-order some here and you will be ready for spring.

From: Jeffray Gooch: Westport Tennessee 12/12/16

Comments: I was lucky to get an early release of this stuff and all I can say is its a game changer.  You can throw away that magic marker that you used to rehab your old faded braid. Doesn't fade, doesn't fray (not yet at least), smoother than most and worth every penny.

From: Jim T: 12/13/16

Comments: I have been testing the Vicious No Fade Braid since this summer and couldn't be happier.  I was immediately impressed at how smooth it runs through the guides and how quiet it fishes.  I have put quite a few hours on this braid and it still has the same deep green color as what's left on the spool.  I have fished lots of braid brands over the years trying to find one I like.  I can say for certain, now that I've fished the Vicious No Fade Braid, I will not have to try any other brands.  This stuff is great.

From: Brian: St. Louis, MO 12/16/16

Comments: What they say is true!  I've used it for 3 months and it looks the same as the day I put it on.  Also the bigger thing for me is it doesn't get "fluffy" and fray.  Best braid I've used.
