A year around technique that catches fish when nothing else seems to work, the War Eagle Shakey Head Jig also features a slightly recessed line eye that collects less debris and also allows for better hook sets. A molded in bait keeper keeps your bait in place for an accurate presentation, and a super sharp Mustad Ultra Point hook delivers rock solid hook sets. Comments: This is the best shakey head I've found after going through several over the years. I've caught bass up to just under 12 pounds on them. This one doesn't lose fish like others and gets bit. A shakey head you can trust getting the big bite on.

Comments: The war eagles have been pretty good to me. While I like screwlocks, I think this is a more versatile design if cyou want to fish it as a regular jighead. If you are bending hooks out on these, you are using the wrong gear. I throw these on a medium power rod and I don't have issues with hookups or losing fish. I occasionally throw them on a med/heavy, but I loosen the drag and I don't horse them in. While there are stouter hooks out there, keep in mind that shakey-head is fishing is a finesse technique for the most part. In other words, put down your flippin stick.
